A great sequel! I really like the description of their relationship. Arthur and Merlin have revealed from the other side. Especially Arthur. He wasn't very bright trying to find who Emrys was, but he guessed finally right. I also liked that he didn't push sir Leon and let him make a right decision. Merlin needs frineds like them.

This was such a lovely story! Even ten years after it was published it still struck a cord with me. Everyone is so in characther, and you managed to incorporate both the darker and lighter elements of the show (let's be real, Arthur and that floor board was hilarious!)

I always burst out laughing at his line "Merlin didn't understand—he didn't know Emrys like he did."

You've written all the characters so PERFECTLY. I love the progression of Arthur's attitudes and ideas about magic/emrys - it's so natural and so fitting, it's perfect. And little moments of hilarity and friendship that make me love the show are scattered throughout this trilogy. You've really captured the spirit of the first few seasons of Merlin all while bringing about a novel story with a great plot and complex antagonists who, like our heros also grow and change. *sending love for Anya xx*

I like the way you made Arthur and Merlin both important to each other's well being.

I always wondered why the creators of the show wrote Merlin to be such a chickensh** when it came to telling Arthur.

Arthur's chainmail and armor would have been like a fry pan while he was inside the stable.

Surprised Anye didn't recognize the name Emrys given she's a druid. I liked Arthur recognizing Merlin's protective look for what it was.
