I knew when I started reading this that it wasn't complete, and, having been so long since you updated, it may never be completed. Still, I'm desperate to know where it's all going. So many unanswered questions. Buffy's cryptic comment about landing in a world without shrimp? Her cross on William's wrist. The reason for Buffy's visits in the first place?
I'm going to put your story on 'follow' anyway, in the small hope that one day you'll update. Your writing is truly amazing.

I just came across this story and 'Forward to Time Past'. They are wonderful. It has been years since I've read any Buffy/Spike (or in this case, Buffy/William) fic and this is some of the best I've ever read. You write lovely characters and your sense of the Victorian era is wonderfully detailed as well. I guess this is on permanent hiatus, but I was wondering how William might enter the portal (and somehow I'm assuming that Spike died - since this is after the finale of the series - so it isn't as though he'll bump up against his doppelganger. Thanks for some great reading!
