TempestReign chapter 4 . 7/30/2010 really awesome story! |
Lord Basileus chapter 1 . 7/29/2010 The beginning...You play Napoleon: Total War? I loved your Empire series...looking forward to more... |
Wulfenbach chapter 4 . 7/20/2010 oh WOW _ this is REALLY REALLY good! |
Julian Carax chapter 4 . 7/16/2010 Good stuff. Keep up the great work - hopefully Lt. Col. White (I rather like that name by the way) will learn to duel wizards and survive this latest attack relatively intact. |
Rhaegar Targaryen chapter 4 . 7/13/2010 One of the best stories I've ever read, both fanfiction and original works. One minor quibble though-I believe it was near the start of this chapter that Harry mentioned that nothing he has done was a crime, due to the fact that he was under orders to do it. Legally, that defence is not allowable (I believe it's known as the Nuremburg defence?), and hasn't been since the prosecution of Nazi war criminals after the second world war. |
Forever Rahhel chapter 4 . 7/12/2010 I always thought it was supposed to be "in transit" instead of "during transit". Anyway, nice chapter. I was rather surprised at Ginny's role. I would have thought it would be Susan Bones. Hermione as an attorney is a great idea. Without Harry's influence she didn't develop that tendency to break rules and would do everything in her might to have them obeyed. I'm quite surprised that there hasn't been much about the Lily and James in your story except for the first chapter. Would have thought we would see them once in awhile. I hope they didn't move to Forks with Isabella and changed their names to Swan. Though that would a funny jab at Twilight. Hope to see more soon. Keep it up. |
Forever Rahhel chapter 3 . 7/12/2010 The beginning was a bit bumpy, but the end made up for it, especially the part with the reporter using his phone to record everything. Rather realistic, since no-one seems to able to restrict those, even during executions. I would have preferred a scene with Harry and his comrades joking with each other. Kinda like "Predator", so we can connect with them and Harry's situation more. The only part that was kinda like that was with Josephina. Rather nice addition too. Keep it up. |
Dan chapter 2 . 7/12/2010 A lot of the setting, language and the 'social' aspect of it all (Harry's time at college) suffers two glaring flaws. 1) It seems waaaaay too American despite being a college in England and Harry grew up moving around most of his life (most time spent in England and Germany) yet you don't at all manage to convey that... 'feel'. 2) The whole fangirl thing is blown out of proportion and it reads like a flipping anime/manga at times rather than a normal setting in England. That being said, you're a very talented writer. This could use a bit more polish though. Everything counts |
Forever Rahhel chapter 2 . 7/12/2010 That was an awesome chapter. Loved the whole leaving your love for the war and your ambition thing. Also Harry's and Ellie's relationship is rather unique since it's not the instant love. I liked the part in which the Potters went to Bad Godesberg. Never thought I would see my old hometown in a fic. It's quite intriguing that Voldemort only featured at the beginning of the story and not as a main villain, also I have never seen him being killed of by both Potters. Quite a nice development for a change. Keep it up. |
kidneysrgood chapter 4 . 7/10/2010 THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING! IT IS GOING IN MY C2. THIS FIC HAS BROUGHT ME OUT OF MY DEPRESSIVE STUPOR! THANK YOU! |
karlii chapter 4 . 7/9/2010 Very good. I'm quite pleased that you got us from the jail all the way through to this new terrorist attack. Will we find out what happened to Ginny? Will Harry run into Hermione sometime? hmmm... Although I can EASILY see Harry and Ron being on opposite sides in a skirmish... I was sort of looking for it in one of the riots. I can see where Harry needs to do some different training to battle wizards. It will be quite a thing to see his little army of mages hit the scenes... Best of all, you write with such a gritty realism, that it is very easy to imagine this going on right now in the world today. And I am very glad that it is not! :-) Keep up the good work! |
Gogolu chapter 4 . 7/4/2010 Great story. |
Jibril Angelos chapter 4 . 7/4/2010 Very interesting AU - could you give us more information on the situation in whole Europe (especially Central Europe)? And what happened to NATO? It was created before ECSC and was mainly about "keeping the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down" - so IMO it should exist in the world of your story. Also in the middle of 4 chapter Josefina simply vanished. She was mentioned that she would be going on another plaen to England and then nothing. What happened to her? Overall I like it. Nice AU, with good story and interesting characters. Keep it up. |
Dashen chapter 4 . 7/3/2010 Just finished reading the first four chapters, and I must say that you have done an amazing job on introducing both an interesting alternative history, but also a very interesting story and plot line (and cliffhanger!), leaving me waiting impatiently for the next chapter. The one point that bothered me was Harry's magical education - in some places it seems that he has a very good grasp of the magical world, magical theory (and uses), etc. , but it other places he seems to 'forget' basic things about the magical world... Can't wait for more! |
Reader One chapter 4 . 7/2/2010 Great story! It's new and fresh i love the detail of the war between the uk and spain felt very real. I kinda would have enjoy seeing the world's view on the war considering uk's allies or spain's for that matter. anywho i can't wait to read more! |
