I don't know if you're still active here/receiving these emails, but I have to tell you that this story has stuck with me since I read it as a teenager, and I just read it now at 23 and it's just as good as I remember. If you were this talented over ten years ago I can only imagine how good you are now. I feel really conflicted. Generally speaking, you did an amazing job of weaving together this world. Your writing style is unique and refreshing. The story flowed well, and you painted a clear picture of what you were trying to do, truly beautiful.

On the other hand, I am very disappointed in Bella and all the Cullens. Edwards main concern was hurting Bella physically. That’s all. He pretty much said “Fher mental health. This is fine.” He watched her for YEARS (and I won’t even talk about how creepy it is for a grown man to fall in love with a CHILD he watched grow up) he watched her question her sanity, made her second guess her entire life. He watched as she ripped her family apart, and repeatedly lied to everyone that cared about her. He watched as she tortured herself and not to mention Carlisle just let this happened. Carlisle is a doctor, he took an oath. And to allow his “son” to play these games with a child, is disgusting. I’m not surprised Bella forgave him. Not in the least.

What else is someone who’s been groomed and suffers from Stockholm syndrome suppose to do?

I loved the way this story went, it was so interesting. I’ve never read the book that inspired this so I was definitely shocked by the story’s twist. I assumed it was just a really dark story about a schizophrenic girl. Thank you for sharing!

I can’t believe he’s actually real, I’m shocked but not all at the same time!

Overall, this was a really good story. I was riveted from start to finish. However, I am disappointed that it turned from a fic about schizophrenia to a "i was right all along fic." I liked the idea that Bella actually had a disorder and this this would be a fic about therapy and coming to terms with delusions and figuring out how to live. But that's just my own expectations. Still a good story.

I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of Edward but this was to say the least interesting. Okay I'll be honest this gave me a whole load of mind fucks trying to understand why he stayed away. But the ending where he court's her is good fluff

So the real story was Bella never left Forks and the Cullens came early... and poor Edward was too conspicuous since he wouldn't age but couldn't leave his mate and was tore between two worlds and forced to live in limbo. Can you imagine living with Edward all those years? "Bella got a new scrape!" "Bella's sick with a slight fever! What should I do?!" "Bella aced her finals!" worse yet, "Carlisle I'm an absolute pervert! I accidentally, almost, nearly saw Bella's naked torso, she needs to close her blinds, any pervert can see in her window!"

Wow! The wordsmithing in this chapter is awesome, her chilly rage is tangible. Thanks so much for sharing this! You went to some deep dark places with this story and I'm thoroughly impressed! (I'm too leery of getting trapped down there that I only read about it it a bit but never linger enough to write...but ...just... WOW).

Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, time to face the music. Love the slap! I really wanted her to cream him, even if it did break her hand - seriously, the utter Hell he put her through!

Poor Bella. Driven almost to insanity and definitely insane thoughts by an Edward who just didn't go to school. Stay in school kids! (and don't do drugs)
