Gah, heartbreaking, but it gives a lot of insight into what shaped Drakken, especially his relationship with his mother. As always, I love the little details you weave into your stories; the one that really struck me this time was the tear falling into his ear. I remember crying like that as a kid.

He wasn't, (abandoned) was he?

I love how you write little Drakken; you capture the way that a child thinks and acts very believably while giving him some distinctly Drakken-ish characteristics. Lots of great moments in this one, but I think my favorite might be "Peace, Dude." LOL, so cute!

As well as you write Drakken's POV, it's nice to get something from Shego's perspective, and I think you've captured her well. An interesting glimpse into her hero past- with just a hint of her leaning toward evil even then, as she thinks that she could come up with a better plot than Aviarius. Rather bittersweet that she's happy for Drakken but doesn't feel she can ever go back there herself. I wonder if they will go their separate ways because of it.
