There was a lot happening in this chapter, I'm glad Charlie could begin to redeem himself. Even if he still took money from Edward, but I guess it's a part of the history...

As if the meeting with Mr. Newton wasn't bad enough, it's so much worse now... And as soon as Edward made the decision of the group getting split up, I thought 'don't do it, remember Alices warning of staying together'... I can't come up with any idea why she wouldn't have fought this decision, for Colin was very forthcoming with her:(

Now I hope the slaves from the field could hold up their part as well, but if not by now, I'm sure seeing the convoy they would believe in Jake at last. And even if it would mean a bit of disturbance of their time limit, it very person hoping, the remaining three guards should be overpowered easily...

I don't agree with Rose about Charlotte, but I see her point in being careful whom to really trust outside their "own" circle

Of course he would feel the need to get even more feared by the slaves than his father, it probably was about his troubled past as well...

Colin Whitlock, his visit to Alice was very interesting, too. I was by much surprised that even after sharing his part in Jasper s fate, he didn't even want to let Jasper know he was sorry for not believing and later on not helping him...
But jasper is very smart, maybe he'll get to that conclusion himself; )

I think Jake was the biggest surprise here. It's the way he questioned Edward that surprised me, and his fast agreement to help

I think the song Edward had in mind was more than perfect here;)

It's amazing how much love can change ones typical M. O. ;)

He surely is good at keeping her in a state of constant arousal ;)

I was really worried timing would be again not on Bella side, but was more than relieved Jasper was cut short in finding out more about his shared past with Alice for now
