... wow. Just... wow. This has got to be one of the best Zoids fanfictions I've read in a long while. And I read a lot of fanfiction, trust me. ;P Shadow was so in-character it felt like I was reading some of the series' creators' notes. And Raven was very in-character as well, which is no small feat, let me tell you. I've been writing fanfiction of these two for three years now, so let me tell you nailing them as well as you have is a great accomplishment.

This story flowed extremely well, and Shadow's musing seemed to come right from the storyline. That's no small feat, trust me on that one. He's a surprisingly difficult character to write, and with Raven right beside him? The pair are probably the most difficult characters of the Zoids fandom to write, due to their complex personalities and relationship. But you nailed them perfectly. And for that I applaud your talent! :3

I hope to read more Raven and Shadow fics from you soon! You're definitely one of the best Raven and Shadow authors on the site, and I can't wait for more from you! ;D

Very well done. I liked seeing things from Shadow's perspective. You did a nice job of expanding on what bits we did know, and adding more depth to them.

Oh, Raven, you are such a -bastard-. I rarely see him examined from more subtle dark angles—but Shadow is the perfect lens to see him through here. Him being ferociously loyal but matter of fact about everything gives it this...disconnected yet intimate feeling, if that's possible. Regardless, I liked this.

I like how you portrayed raven's relationship with shadow. In the beginning he saw shadow as a mere tool, and was very much a spoiled brat, and you portrayed that well. Shadow is described well, too; uncertaity when it comes to his master's taste for destruction, but nonetheless a desire to protect, to obey, to satisfy raven. I wonder, why, though? Is it because raven freed him? Or is it simply because raven is his master? I would have to say cause he freed him, personally, cause if shadow hated his semi-abusive master he could've easily killed him or let him die after the final fight in chaotic century that was before guardian force with van.

Well, this fic was a pretty great discovery, had been so long since I roamed around this section and well, I found this one.

I really liked, the way you portrayed Raven-Shadow relation also, your style was ahm… the way Shadow expresses (or better said, ‘thinks’) about Raven, so devote but a kind of ignorant of his reasons, like the organoid wouldn’t be able to get completely a comprehension of ‘the little master’ actions, even, Shadow doesn’t question openly he just ask himself why Raven is as he’s but he doesn’t dare to make further query.

Also, Raven (even on his kind of negative to admit it) recognize (just a bit but he does none less) Shadow’s company. The interaction with Karl and Markus was funny, even Raven seemed a bit bully for me when he ‘assaulted’ the man on that town.

How two different creatures can have such ‘meaningful’ connection (and cute I have to admit, hehe)?

Great story, I hope you keep this one shots up. Your style and the way you work with the characters are fantastic.

It's quite clear that you hold a deep amount of care for these characters. Not only did you get them spot-on, but you also went beyond what has already been established as an interesting relationship and made it better. It would be great if you could do something like this again! :)
