Book girl fan chapter 6 . 12/25/2012 What, not Simpsons? I'm really enjoying this, a nice mix of canonical and modern. I love the banter that goes on between the two. It is hilarious! |
Book girl fan chapter 1 . 12/25/2012 Beating the corpses? Wow, that sounded so similar to Sherlock! Have you seen Sherlock? |
Randomuso chapter 1 . 7/24/2012 This is some great stuff! I'm loving your clever style of writing-you are building the relationship between Watson and Holmes brilliantly, and character development for Watson is really well done. Beautiful writing, can't wait to read more. :) |
UnpredictablyRandomOne chapter 14 . 7/9/2012 Incredible story! I will definitely be checking all of them! |
Auzzies chapter 14 . 6/8/2012 I'm not sure if you still receive these, (or even read them, for that matter,) but I really wanted to stop by and let you know that it was truly a pleasure to read this. The characters are very well written, and even if it is just a retelling, it was a fantastic read. (And I'm ecstatic that it ended on a bromantic note. The bromance is one of the best things about these stories.) Thank you for taking the time to write and post this story. I wish you luck in your future writings. |

MilleniumHeart323 chapter 14 . 1/7/2012 THAT WAS AMAZING! |
Lisa chapter 1 . 12/29/2011 Oh god, /this/ is what I wished the BBC version of Sherlock would be. Beautifully faithful to the original yet updated to the time period; Watson's actual injuries, physical therapy, the fight scenes, Holmes being crazy and himself. Seriously, this is fantastic; I would love any further stories in this 'verse, if you'd ever decide to expand. |
thyla chapter 3 . 11/17/2011 oh, this is just great! |
Hromiko chapter 14 . 7/14/2011 Wow, what a fun story. I thought with the new BBC version no one would try any modern AU versions of Sherlock Holmes so I'm really glad you did this before that came out. I thought it was so funny how some things you wrote were so similar to the show and then other areas you went in a delightful different direction. I was just about howling at anything with Mrs Hudson, too funny. I'd really love more of this AU though as I said I can see why no one would play in their own modern AU with BBC Sherlock out there. The last few chapters dragged a bit more than the beginning of the story and I don't know if you or I am to blame since it's what I read today rather than two days ago that I felt a bit blah about. I kind of felt like the dialogue in the last few chapters was too faithful to the original style and not modernized to reflect how people speak today. I wish I'd commented along the way so I could better tell you all the things that tickled me as I read. I even enjoyed the flashback (man does that drag for me in the book, partly because of how wrong the information is about the religion but mostly because WHY DO I CARE ABOUY THIS?) and I loved your excuse for why they stayed, a very nice idea of psuedokidnapping and wanting to keep his "daughter" from social services. It was fun picturing RDJ and Jude Law in this modern AU rather than Benedict and Martin, it's weird just I really felt like you reflected the movie characters well. I really want more special forces Watson! Overall you did a wonderful job and I hope you keep on writing! |
oOOo chapter 14 . 7/13/2011 Had to search this up today to reread a few bits as I was thinking about it, and I just wanted to let you know that there are plenty of us out here who would love to see a sequel, if the fancy ever strikes you. :) |
Magdalen Beller chapter 14 . 7/11/2011 Wonderful story! |
