| Michael Dark chapter 2 . 11/19/2011
A good story, but I can't accept the basic premise, even in an alternate universe.
The Master, a mass-murdering megalomaniac, gets almost no notice from the Time Lords. The Doctor commits an act that would likely be recognized almost anywhere in the universe as an act of righteous anger and justice and Gallifrey decides he has to answer with his life. Nope, can't buy into this, the Time Lords are better than that.
Also, this was not a selfish act—he didn't do it for himself—he did it for Donna and his daughter who had both been grievously injured.
