Terrific, Greys, really enjoyed it. Loved the way Booth was there to save her. So glad they were together at the end.
Moving on now to "Saint In The Shadow" series - enjoying your writing very much!

This really fell flat for me at the end, I would have liked to see you take it further.

NEEN. I LOVED THIS DAMN ENDING. Even though it's slightly evil. I LOVED IT. It just... it covered everything perfectly without being too much. Does that make sense? Like the rescue... and Booth saving her... and the dream... the still-present side-effects of what happened.
Loved this story. You are amazing... as usual.
Now I'm onto your next piece of awesomeness.

Oh, how very intriguing... Great work, as always, though I was surprised it was a dream. I thought it was the future. Ah, well, anyway, it was great. :)

Phew! I'm so relieved that this ended happy...I knew he'd find her, just wasn't sure if it would be in time...so, thankyou, thankyou, thankyou! (there are a lot of Angsty Bones Fanfic floating around these days, so I wasn't sure if I could count on this one ending well)
This was a great story, thanks for the ride!

Ooooo(: I really loved this fic! I loved how you combined the past, present, & dreaming all in one! It was so suspenseful, romantic, & just plain wonderful! Again, your talent leaves me speechless(:
| BonesSarah chapter 30 . 8/8/2010
I appreciated the contrast between brain and heart. Logically, she'd be dead. Logically, it'd be impossible to reach her in time. But, thankfully, Booth doesn't lead with his brain, he leads with his heart. Especially when it comes to his Bones.
And I LOVED how you tied the watch's ability to respond to pulse rates back to their discussion of how Brennan hears both of their hearts beating together. Except this time it's reversed –- it's Booth's heart rate that's accelerated before he can hear (via the watch) Brennan's heart.
WOW –- what a powerful scene of rescue! You captured the details so well –- of course Booth would be horrified at what he had to do with that pen. But his terror at causing more pain to Brennan would be far outweighed by his desire to save her.
Now I'm curious. . .
My gut feeling is that everything in the story happened. It would make sense then that Brennan would have recurrent nightmares caused by trauma.
But part of me wonders if she ever did return to Indonesia. She bet forever in Chapter 29. And we found out in Chapter 24 that he dropped Brennan's betting slip on the floor before he headed to Dulles for the international flight.
I would love if you would share your insights into your own story with me.
Thank you for the journey, Col. I enjoyed this story tremendously and I hope you did, too.
I'm looking forward to embarking on a new journey with your writing very soon!

This story is EXCELLENT. Very well-written, I surmised.
I was just wondering, I hope you could send me a reply...in the last scene...was everything that happened in the dig site in indonesia a dream? or did it really happen and after Bones got rescued she had that nightmare? in other words, which part of the story did the nightmare start? I was also thinking maybe since the start of the whole story, Bones was already dreaming, and it turned into a nightmare when she went back to the dig site. I'm quite confused. :)
By the way, I think I should say that this story had a lot of heartwarming 'quotes' that I love! Especially the 'heartbeat' quote. That's one reason why I absolutely loved the fanfic.
You did another great job! Congrats! Hope you would write some more fanfics. And update Silent Mistakes...and publish Shadows in the Sun, soon. I'm very excited!

Finally, I was left alone long enough to read it. Now I have to print the entire story and read over the weekend. I just have to do it. I actually closed my eyes with the pen scene. As if I could see him doing it. That is really powerful writing. You can feel the emotion and desparation just jump off the page/screen. I can't wait to read all the chapters at once. This is a keeper-I don't care how many pages it is!
What an incredible ending. Twitter teases aside, this journey and the care you took to make it all blend (past, present, future, dream, actual) are fantastic. I cannot convey to you the enjoyment I've had with all of your works on this site. Thanks so much for sharing.
