|Reviews for We Sort Too Soon: The Life of Severus Snape|
| pixie chapter 19 . 11/3/2013
i am crying. Be proud. You've made the Bitch cry. :')
Well done! i have to applaud your skill, its beautifully written...beautifully emotive. I think this is the first time, that reading a snily fic, i can truly say how much Severus loved Lily. His pain is so potent...and it explains why he never stopped loving her, why he died loving her. So thank you for that...for making me cry...Now write me another ;)

I hate you, but I love you at the same time. This was amazing. The ending was just so sad and beautiful. I think you really did a good job capturing Snape.

You are unbelievable, utterly incredible. I have never seen, heard of, never READ a story as miserable as yours. this story.. this life..deserves respect

I love both "Journal" and "Life", in fact I read them side by side.
And upon reading both, I have come to a conclusion. I enjoyed both.
Although "Life" was much MUCH more polished, I think in hindsight, I liked "Journal" more. It was blunt and so very very Snape. As much as I loved "Life", "Journal" really captured Snape's personality. The more "stream of conscience" style lent it this raw and incredibly genuine edge that I didn't really get as much of in "Life". That and his snark and wit bit me through my laptop screen and my eyes watered up at the conclusion :'(
Well never mind all that.
Kudos to you for writing two very enjoyable fan fictions :)

Saddest thing I've ever read, ever, no contest, and one of the most powerful too. :( The fact that in this version we don't see the letter or Lily's reaction to it, or the funeral, makes it almost too sad, in a kind of hollow, gut-wrenching way (whereas actually seeing her reaction was sad in a tear-jerking way). Your characters are amazing. Speaking of which, in the last chapter of Learning to Breathe you posted, you mentioned you had the next one almost finished? Any possibility of being able to read it?

God! this hurts!

I wasn't sure what was supposed to happen next, but I knew that if I could only be brave enough, everything else would fall into place. I just needed to find the proper spell or potion that could turn me into a hero...
-And he only wanted that so that Lily would play with him. Only, Lily gets to blame him for anything that goes wrong, and he accepts it (it might have been her magic that dropped that branch, after all.
And yet he was a hero. Fat lot of good it did him. And he stayed in the habit of accepting blame that wasn't his. That certainly made him easy meat for both his masters, didn't it?

Very ,i really wanted to read something about snape.
| wataru51 chapter 19 . 8/15/2012
This is one of the sadest stories I have ever read. I would have liked to see the reaction of lily to the letter too.
Thank you for your work. I really liked to read it.
| Mykko chapter 19 . 7/29/2012
This is a soul-crushing story.
I've never written that about anything.
I only wish that I could see their reaction, see Lily's. Hear about his letter. God damn was that depressing, I wish the story was longer.

I will admit, I only clicked this becasue of the shakespeare in the summary ;L I love that sonnet 3 :)
However, I am continuing to read because so far I actually like the story and it's well written :)

What about Learning to Breathe?
| TMNTurtwig chapter 2 . 2/16/2012
Well, gee. After Journal strung me along like a cute girl and then delivered a James/Lily I hope this turns out differently.
However, I neither want nor expect you to change your plot based on a reviewers whims. (Before you say that that is ridiculous and what kind of author would ever do such a thing, know that many do and it is quite sad.) In the likely event that my favorite scenario does not occur, I will continue to read your story because you are a great writer. Really.

Oh, dear-he doesn't know what love really is, having had none himself; and thus he is more vulnerable than most to anybody at all who doesn't actually beat on him.
I don't blame Petunia for being afraid of magic, though; I expect she's seen a lot of 'accidental' magic directed at her by now to worry that now her sister has a friend just like her.
Very good start.
