| Madebyme chapter 1 . 6/3/2010
What an action packed opening chapter, you certainly know how to grab your audiences attention!
I really enjoyed how we dove straight into the hunt and storm here, as you neatly weaved in bits and pieces regarding the back story and the job. Thrilling stuff.
The banter between the boys was spot on and it was so very in character for Dean to mouth off at Mother Nature, only to get kicked in the behind for doing it! Lovely comical touch there.
The mystery surrounding the little boy was intriguing, is he really as innocent as he seems? Was pushing Dean an accident? Or is something more sincere going on here? I'm very much looking forward to finding out.
The hurricane, the falling tree and collapsing house were all described in one helluva fast paced action scene and what a cliffhanger? I sure am grateful that chapter two is just a click away. Wonderful start, I'm off for more... Take care, Abbi

That was a very sweet and nice story. I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks!

Loved this! It's awesome that the tobaganning story is from your own family history! I really liked Remy and Josiah. It's cool to get to see a different spin on a hunt, one where the ghosts aren't out to kill or anything, they're just keeping one another company. So sweet. And the ending bit - *tear*. Great job! I always get excited when I get alerts for your stories. :)
| Colby's girl chapter 2 . 6/2/2010
Wow that was fantastic. I loved the characters of the little ones and how they paralleled Dean and Sam to some degree. Great job and always a pleasure to receive from your keyboard to my screen.

Wonderful story. I loved the two little boys ghosts and was entertained the whole time. Great writing! Keep it the good work. :D
| bally2cute chapter 2 . 6/2/2010
I loved the friendship of the two ghosties and how well they connected with the Winchesters. I love myself some brother whumpage, and you sure delivered it. I think the story flowed at a nice pace and wrapped up in a nice little bow. After all these years of reading fic in this fandom, this has been the only time I wanted the ghosts to just stay around and hang out with the Winchesters. I loved it and thanks for sharing.
| Marianna Morgan chapter 1 . 6/2/2010
I LOVED this! Loved the banter, loved the equal-opportunity-whumpage, loved the brother moments...loved it ALL! I live in North Carolina and have weathered my share of hurricanes, and your descriptions of the rain and wind were perfectly intense. The entire story was like an episode in my head, and I didn't want it to end! Can't wait for your next one!
| darksupernatural chapter 2 . 6/2/2010
This was an awesome story, my friend. Wonderful bit of family lore too. Great work and thanks for sharing.
| Harrigan chapter 2 . 6/2/2010
Two things I positively adore in fic and there's never enough of: casefics that deal with history, and boys surviving natural disasters!
What a treat to find both here!
Plus appealing OCs, and your always satisfying h/c and brotherly banter!
Thanks for sharing! (The fic, and the bit of family history with the thunder!)
| SPNsilver chapter 2 . 6/2/2010
Nice story :-) Although the circumstances in which the boys had become ghosts was v. sad - it was very cool that they were able to move on together. Liked seeing Dean's soft side (as well as the wet t shirt!).
Loved your descriptions of the wind, and the rain and the thunder.
| skag trendy chapter 2 . 6/2/2010
'"All the crap we see on a daily basis, all the evil, it was just nice to find two good kids who, in their own way, gave the world the finger when it told them they couldn't be friends."'
That was just beautiful, filled with our Dean's lovable eloquence. And Sam's sweet nature was typically beguilling.
This whole story brought tears to my eyes. Tears of pain, anger, frustration, but, finally, the peace those two adorable kids found in the end.
I love thunderstorms. We weren't allowed to surf down the stairs at any time, but we often used the banasters like monkey bars when the parents were out!
To say you did a magnificent job just doesn't do it justice.

Great action here, and loved your descriptions of the storm and falling tree. There's some very spooky stuff going on. Is the little boy ghost as innocemt as he makes out, I wonder?
But what's happened to our boys?
Off to find out...
| sammygirl1963 chapter 2 . 6/2/2010
Wow what an awesome story. And I absolutely love the fact that the spirits in this one were good, that they helped to save the brothers lives...and that when it was time to move on, they went together into the light! How awesome is it that Josiah got to be buried next to Remy!
| Rosetta Brunestud chapter 2 . 6/2/2010
Wow! Great *-*
I loved the story
See ya next

Your idea of what quantifies as optimism might need reworking, dude. You dropped a house on them, hit Sam with a door and threw Dean down the stairs! What about that is more cheery than the last story you wrote?
Well, I've got to hand the mantel of evil over to you in this one. I love the way you combine mystery, thriller and history all in one story and give it a sense of realism and depth. It's what makes your tales of woe all the more exciting and wonderful. I absolutely adored the background of the ghosts, and the focus on that child-like innocence we all have before we're hit with stereotypes and the whole 'how we're supposed to act'. What I loved most about this is that it was a story of hope, of friendship (and brotherhood) overcoming all obstacles.
As always, a great story. Thank you for sharing :)
