AWWWwwwww... I would so totally read both of these, even if they're confusing, even if they're fairly short, even if they don't really have happen endings (or if they're Whump with good endings but Q is horribly traumatized during them).

I mean, I've been imagining a bit of the kidnapping scene myself after reading that section of Only Human. And I could see a possible tangent where Q avoided the kidnapping (or possibly was rescued fairly early, and went through much the same raving withdrawal as in the base story but longer or worse), and then at a later time someone tries to or manages to kidnap him a different way, planning to do some of the same, and Q spots the drug root and freezes, and is just terrified out of his mind of having himself subjected to that much will-override again, so instead of being ON the drug and doing anything for another high, he is OFF the drug and readily accepts (but hates himself for accepting) doing what the kidnappers want if only they don't ever drug him like that, he can't bear it.

I love what Only Human did with Q's fears, and how much he fights being controlled both by others and by his fears and bodily needs and such. It is so believable and so worth building on - in so many ways.

I read this on your site a while back (and a few times since), it was the second of your deja q spinoffs I read. I just cant get enough of your characterization. Not many writers can take on the kind of layered depth you do. You rip my heart out almost every time and I really mean it. The absolute best.

I don't usually read stories with an OC as a main character, but I'm glad I did here. You've done a wonderful job of portraying Q as a "lowly human." I truly enjoyed your story. In fact, I could hardly concentrate on anything else. Now, however, I have to study for an exam. TTFN.

this story was x1 billion super awsome coolness! I havent read any fic that portrays Q as good as you, everything he says here i could totally picture it onscreen! _ youre 100th story will break a record I'm sure.

"uh"... well, you certainly picked a good pseudonym, because I'm left going "uh... what the hell are you talking about?" I can understand people objecting to explicit gay sex. I can even understand people objecting to characters who've been pretty much established as het being shown as gay or bi. But Q is canonically pretty damn bi (dunno what else you could call saying he should have appeared as a woman or turning up in Picard's bed), Harry Roth is an original character and the two of them don't *have* explicit sex or even a relationship in this story (it's a relationship in the PAST)... and you think that there are Star Trek fans who need to be warned of this ahead of time? Forget it. Any Star Trek fan who's offended by the existence of gay or bisexual people deserves to be offended, and I'm happy to offend them.

This has some slight hints at slash in it so I think you should probably put up a warning on your summary to let people know.

Oh. My. Goodness. gracious. Where on Earth have you been hiding this story that it only has -one- review? It's. fabulous! Marvelous! Great! I mean. wow. You do Q marvelously and Naomi is just a really fun character. I'd love to see this continued and am waiting in hope that it shall be. Again, marvelous job!
