Wow...I've said it before, and I'll say it again: You are absolutely brilliant. This was a beautiful examination of what the finale showed us and also what it didn't show us, tying together those details that made Sam such a fantastic character (and made us Sam!girls believe in him, even last season :)) Congratulations on another great piece of writing.

This is by far the best exploration of Sam I have read. Thank you for sharing this.

Oh, love. The thought that Sam is at peace while headed to hell is a strange, new idea, but one I like more than I thought I would. This was epic and amazing and just wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful. I'm usually not a fan of pure thought pieces like this, but I think you've really captured Sam spot on. The two things I loved about the finale were a) brotherly love saved the world, and b) it all came down to free will, both Sam's and Dean's. By tracing the history of Sam's lack of free will and lack of control back over his entire life, you've really brought out how the final battle was about him taking control-by letting go. Nice connection to Castiel's comment about choosing freedom or choosing peace, too.
In other words, I liked it! :)

You have captured Sam exactly as I have seen him, and the moment in Swan Song when love, not anger, overcomes Lucifer.
Thank you for this incredible piece!
