![]() ![]() i have read this so many times, and each time it makes me cry. wow. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh... I'm favoriting this. What a gut-punch. |
![]() ![]() Heart wrenching and unsettling- but all these snippets just makes me want to read more about the War and the people affected by it. We only saw the aftermath and not even that closely. How did these people ever learn to smile and be happy again after all this loss? The ending is bittersweet, Thanks for writing this story and breaking my heart. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The last one hit me like a kick to the gut. The first few showcase the greif and then that seventh... "And the whole world cheers." Damn. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ...wow |
![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful and chilling. A great read. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my god, that last line honestly gave me chills. Really well done! Molly's reaction especially was amazing. This was such a heart breaking story to read! I really don't know why I do this to myself... *grins* |
![]() ![]() ![]() I never saw it that way and wow, thank you for this. This was so tragic and utterly perfect. It's not easy at all to be able to carry something out the way you did this, this was amazing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() So tragic. :( |
![]() ![]() ![]() Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori "It is sweet and right to die for one's country." This was very good. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This never fails to make cry. The last line just grabs me by the throat :/ |
![]() ![]() ![]() And The Whole World Cheers . WOW That Whole Line Just Sent A Chill Up My Whole Bones! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was simply beautiful – I adored everything, including the title and summary. Every section had an individual ring and tone to it. Your writing, as always, was absolutely wonderful. There was an evident depth to all the members of the first Order present here which is difficult to pull off in such a small number of words, but you excelled at it by using simple phrases and imagery through which the tragedy of their lives and how they came to an end shone through. I especially loved these lines: “how he must have melted like the birthday candles he'll never have when the curse hit him, how he must have felt his skin boiling away one second and nothing the next” and “his wife is left still setting down two dinner plates and fending off questions and clutching at the jagged edges of their lives”. And the last line, of course, will haunt me forever. There’s actually not enough praise in the world to describe how gorgeous and heart-breaking this piece was. Please don’t ever stop writing! xxx |
![]() ![]() ![]() I don't remember when I started crying. Lily and James' were wonderfully done - it's just so wrong, it shouldn't be happening, but it is. The Prewett brothers, Caradoc Dearborn, and Edgar Bones' parts were the most beautiful, too. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You should be content with this. It's a good piece of writing. The last line about James and Lily broke my heart, but it's relentlessly true. |
