Some of us have always known that Emmett is not simple-minded, just a simple man, with simple wants and needs. Mostly, just his angel, Rose.

A beautiful insight into a relationship which is often oversimplified. I love the comparison between Emmett and Bella. I've seen Edward and Rosalie compared, and I've read about their similarities, but this is the first time I've seen Bella and Emmett to be in similar situations. Always on the outside, loving someone who's broken. It's poignant, and certainly a thought to mull over. Congratulations on being true to the depth of characters in only a one-shot.

Aww. Emmett really has his habds ull with Rosalie. She's so hard on herself and nhappy inlife that he'll never please her. he can;t give her what she wants. I feel sort of bad for him

This was amazing. Really. I'm delighted to read such an in-depth study of Emmett and his mindset, and his outlook on the relationships and intricacies of those around him.

I like how Emmett gains knowledge instinctively and the way that's contrasted to Edward and Carlisle's book smarts and philosophical discussions. I also like the tone, the way Emmett seems to have a good grasp on everybody's problems while still understanding himself. The all knowing doesn't come off as "told you so."

I knew Emmett to be more complicated than he was portrayed in the books and fic, but this was a true pleasure to read. Thank you!
