It's very fun that the Nadder speaks with a bit more intelligence and has slightly fancier names for the other dragons than the Gronckle.

I love that Stoick is known as the Great-head-ripper from the time he supposedly tore a dragon's head right off its shoulders. And I also love that you've specified that the Monstrous Nightmare is a girl, which makes her Fireworm, Snotlout's dragon! Yay books! :D

For such a short chapter there's really a lot to love. The Gronckle eating rocks (yay for research!). Flamey One speaking in an all-caps ROAR. Tiny One having the most sophisticated speech ability. Gobber being nick-named "Stick-Foot"... all these things I loved.

But most of all I love that the dragons' plural for "Man" is "Mans."

I just love that. It makes me giggle. XD

I love it! Great format. I think you've done a great job of showing a perspective that is not based on what a human would know, for example calling the dagger a tooth since dragons shouldn't have an innate concept of tools. Looking forward to more.

Dude, I like this. :) It's less realistic to have the dragons understand spoken Norse when they hear it, so this works! :)
