DoopDoop chapter 22 . 10/4/2015 Shame you stopped updating. It's such a good story! |
wolfenergy17 chapter 22 . 9/12/2015 This is so cool! It is really unique and I love how you have wriiten journals for all the dragons, not just our friendly neighborhood Night Fury. I hope you decide to update sometime, even if it is just to tell us that you discontinued this story. But, updating to finish the movie's storyline would be preferable. :) |
bittyskitty94210 chapter 17 . 5/30/2015 the language is quite cute, but its been a while since ive seen the movie. can i cheat and ask you what footfall means or do i have to think harder and watch the movie again. the terrible terror has the fancy vocabulary..its funny and pleasing. poor thing has to explain itself repeatedly. what site are the tvtropes from? i would like to hear more of their reccomendations keep healthy and have a good day! |
I Just Won A Free Toaster Oven chapter 16 . 5/28/2015 This was a really interesting chapter. Who'd've thought that the Terrible Terror - the tiniest and most neurotic-baby looking dragon would be the most educated? (Poetry, dude. Every other dragon, Toothless included, thinks and speaks differently. But the Terror is SMART. And can I just say how ironic it is that the dragons refer to Hiccup as Toothless. Very funny.) |
Zirdgrapheffeg chapter 22 . 4/11/2015 Well,you really was dead...I like this fiction very much,but...you know,only 22 chapters is...too short...Come back please |
Guest chapter 22 . 3/24/2015 It's been a few years, just wondering if you're still alive. Whatever happened? |
mordreek chapter 22 . 2/28/2015 This was a very enjoyable read, the different perspectives of the dragons were all well-fleshed out and detailed. The chapers themselves were short but they got the message across clearly. Sorry to see this fall to the wayside. |
Celestra chapter 22 . 2/2/2015 I'm not sure if you still plan on updating this since I can see it's been a couple years now, but in any case, I'm glad I finally got around to reading this story - it's been on my list for AGES but I wanted to finish writing my own fic first because otherwise I knew I'd become a lazy reader/lurker, haha. I heartily enjoyed this take on the film through an unusual/ignored (but arguably obvious) perspective and the many distinctive voices you've created for the various dragons, with particular emphasis on Toothless himself. The expressions and phrases you've used create the perfect blend of a distinctly inhuman-yet-sentient being. Toothless has an almost childlike view of "mans" at the beginning and it is a delight to see how you show him growing and learning and observing all the things we recognize from the Viking world that would be utterly alien to an outside observer. Sometimes it was quite challenging trying to figure out the human equivalent of certain terms! It was also really neat to see how you filled in some of the "missing" moments from the film, moments that we know must have happened but see off-camera. Plus there were plenty of humorous moments, which I always appreciate, haha. I loved the notion of the genius imprisoned Terrible Terror, especially as it was a twist on the many authors who have sort of assumed that the smallest dragon species is also the dumbest. If you ever do pick up this story again, I look forward to reading the rest :) All the best! Celestra |
Nimbus Llewelyn chapter 22 . 1/13/2015 This is downright fascinating, and lots of fun. Keep it up. |
Taiga Hibari chapter 14 . 12/31/2014 Toothless! Brilliant! |
Guest chapter 22 . 12/29/2014 I don't think the story ends here… |
Guest chapter 22 . 12/29/2014 Err...Do you have any more chapters for this article? |
SharKohen chapter 22 . 9/5/2014 You really did this well. The vocab, and expression, and really make the dragons sympathetic. Good job. |
SharKohen chapter 9 . 9/5/2014 wow. Who would have thought Hiccup's first troumph had such adverse affects on the dragons? |
Daniella Violet Moon chapter 22 . 7/26/2014 This is fantastic. I love the distinctive voices that the dragons have. The Terror being a genius is the best thing. Or perhaps it's how Hiccup is actually a talking Fishbone. Or possibly Toothless. The killring Dragon Escapades are too much fun. Yellow Head is truly fierce! But I'm just imagining the Nadder as Stormfly, who she will be later. I kinda get the feeling that Astrid and your Stormfly would have a mutual respect relationship at first. I acknowledge your deadliness, let's be friends. Basically happiness, joy and stupid smell-stuff. DVM |
