This bone guy fight is a huge disappointment. All those jutsus. All that root experience. Being 1v1.. He didn't even use the wind chakra transformation. He saw that the only wind jutsu he used was effective damage him and than switched back to taijutsu like a moron. You've too attached to a character who only appeared 1-2 times in the anime. If you didn't want to write about the SasukeVNaruto fight, you could have just said that he defeated Lee and escaped. An unnecessarily long, brainless fight.

I think I'll give it one or two more episodes and drop it..

"I'm not burning out, I'm only thirteen, how could I be?"... Well, when ALL there is to do is: Eat, Sleep, Train, Fight... That would lead to burn out PRETTY FAST.. I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but.. It's kinda one of the problems when you take relationships and yes, even adult relationships out of the story... There just isn't a lot for the main character to DO...Except: "eat, sleep, train, fight" rinse and repeat.

The stuff in kumo was pretty good, though it started ROUGH as all get out.. But even there, until the last week it was: fight, eat, sleep, fight. then a little training.

No, actually.. Nothing about naruto's story sounded ANYTHING AT ALL like what Kumo tried to pull, NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT... Naruto is walking IN THE DAY, he's thirteen, he's not trying to hide, he's not sneaking into a clan home, he doesn't have a little girl in a sack, slung over his shoulder, tied up... It SOUNDS really stupid that they would all think that sounds even REMOTELY similar. He's a kid, that walked onto a NON-MARKED, completely open, TRAINING GROUND, during the middle of the day and offered to leave as soon as he saw it was being used... I don't think you could GET MORE DIFFERENT in situations.

He still couldn't find Danzo? How is that possible? The village ISN'T that big.. And root is located under it... Grab a Hyuuga and walk around, telling them to LOOK DOWN... Never figured out how nobody noticed in canon.. You'd THINK a GIGANTIC cave compound and secret bases right under everyone's feet WOULD get noticed, especially with an entire clan of people with X-ray vision! Even if there were seals or something to block the eyes... Wouldn't it arouse some "CURIOSITY" as to why they COULDN'T SEE down there? That's as much a "red flag" as seeing the bases. Barring getting a Hyuuga, just have naruto spam a few hundred clones and give them all shovels... He's BOUND to hit ONE of passages or chambers eventually... Or just get Garaa to "lead the way".. considering he drills down and MAKES sand by powdering the ground.

Ok, so naruto knows he has family that's hidden... But there has only been ONE other Uzumaki, he wears the Uzumaki clan symbol too, so he should probably notice that.. Then there is the GLARINGLY obvious physical resemblance to the fourth.

Why do you keep having naruto get tied up? Hasn't he already shown during the "kick everyone's butt" fight, that he can just FLEX his wind chakra to cut right through ropes and ninja wire? First time was with anko and SHOULD have turned her snakes into snake spaghetti, now in the chair? "You can't tell anyone about this"... WHY? He's OBVIOUSLY strong enough to "protect himself" now.. PLUS he's ALREADY got S-ranks going against him.. If he already has that, nothing and nobody from Minato's past is much of a "threat". I always thought it was dumb, the second he had the akutski after him. After them, everybody else is just "small fries". "the assassins that would be.." yeah, yeah, but naruto could "handle them" at 8, can AGAIN and now has s-rank ORGANIZATIONS and villages after him REGARDLESS of his dad, so that excuse is out.. "The politicians trying to get me to..".. So what? Tell them to fuck right off.. And his heritage being known means he would have had clan status and the one thing repeated OVER AND OVER is "no interfering with clan affairs".. So, it gives him MORE protection, not less.. Finally.. "the resentment over being jinchuriki"... Again SO WHAT? He got that ANYWAY. (maybe should have kept THAT PART a secret and revealed the heritage?)

"Goddamn it, what the hell is wrong with this village?"... I loved that line... If I were in the naru-verse, this would PROBABLY be my continuous mantra while in the Leaf. It has a lot of very serious issues, seems to overlook the most OBVIOUS things and really stresses on completely the WRONG things. There is dumb, there is backward, and then there is the Leaf sitting at the pinnacle of that particular pile. It's not just one or two characters either... It's wide spread... Everyone in the Leaf seems to think of naruto as an idiot, but his intelligence seems to be kinda AVERAGE for everyone around him. (in canon). I think in a lot of these stories.. If you have a "smart Naruto", you'll have everyone being utterly terrified of him, you don't even need a BRILLIANT naruto... Just one that has an I.Q. larger then his SHOE SIZE and he'll mentally run circles around 90% of everyone in Konoha.

"It was an order from the last Hokage, no one is stupid enough to go against their superior's word"...? Except, of course, almost the ENTIRE village.. Like EVERYBODY! Regularly, with almost clockwork precision.. Civilians, clans, teachers, hospital staff, his old council, danzo, Y. Except apparently Jiraiya, when he knew it was a BONE HEADED idea. (why did the toads think this was a good idea?.. Also if Jiraiya had to hide what he did from the toads.. Then doesn't that kinda tell him, this is a bad idea?)
