kat chapter 1 . 6/26/2013 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL THIS WAS AWSOME I LOVED IT MAKE MORE LIKE THIS! |
BakuraxMalikNum1Fan chapter 1 . 3/26/2011 Love it! _ |
looptheloopy chapter 1 . 3/20/2011 I love you for these stories! *tackle* You are amazing! |
SugarAndSanctimony chapter 1 . 2/22/2011 Oh, this is way too lovely. Smashing every cliche with a stylish, ironic twist. The wryness here is so skilfully employed, ranging from the neat and well-phrased to the brilliantly humourous. And the notion of vegetarian!Marik is genius; that little touch of characterisation works on so many levels. |
Angael chapter 1 . 8/23/2010 ... SNIIIFFFFFFLLESSSS. Here I was wondering why I hadn't seen you update a story in a while. The real answer? I FORGOT TO PUT YOU ON AUTHOR ALERT. *hits head* So if you see a great number of reviews marching into your email inbox, the culprit is I! BUAHAHAHA. *coughcough* ONTO THE CUTE ADORABLE OMG FANFICTION! I knew you could write fluff! And so well too. You just make it seem so... realistic. It's none of that fairy tale bull $hit, it's hardcore, sexy, cutesy happiness. And love. ;D I just like the routine, you know? How the story came along, and how Malik described their relationship evolving, until it rested on this everyday breakfast thing! Malik's surprise about Bakura's smile, and when "Bakura looked like a lost puppy" (something like that. I remember Bakura. and lost puppy. Filled in the blanks haha!) and also when Malik leaned in to kiss Bakura while smiling. ARE YOU TRYING TO BREA MY POOR BA-BEATING HEART WITH ALL THIS ADORABLE FLUFFY SEXY CUTENESS? The funny thing is, I don't know if everyone would consider this 'fluff', but... I don't know, it still has your personal, kind of smooth, cool and really sarcastic style, ya knowwww? Which juts makes it so... ADDICTING! I could ramble for years. But I would probably need to go and reread the fanfiction. And I have other fics of your to read! Lol. (: BYEBEEE~ Haha... obituaries in the newspaper. Haha. |
Natsu.Arisu chapter 1 . 8/22/2010 ...Holy crap. I love this. So freaking much. You have no idea. This was just...perfection. I utterly love the style and tone of this fic, because it strongly reminds me of my favorite author (Chuck Palahniuk). My favorite part had to be the beginning, where Malik explains the scenario and then goes on to say it's not that simple - or normal, for that matter. I also loved it at the end, when Malik explained their lifestyle and said that...well, it's not so bad being bad guys. Ah, heck, I loved every bit of this. |
Cherry Burlesque chapter 1 . 8/14/2010 This is just so damn clever that when I've finished reviewing I'm going to go through and read it again just for the hell of it. Seriously. I absolutely love the way you get into Marik's head and his thought space, and I think you were completely spot on with how he thinks about things. He is cynical, harsh and just so down-pat that it's amazing. Really. I love it. I love how you managed to capture Bakura's character with very little dialogue at all. You completely nailed it. Clever is an understatement. This is pure genius. I love it. WCB |
harlequinberry chapter 1 . 7/20/2010 Not gonna lie, the first paragraph left me more than a bit apprehensive. I was just like, "Okay, so...this is the girl that writes beautiful murder and cannibalism, right? The shit that I love? And now she's talking about 'domestic bliss.' Hn." And if you weren't you, I'd probably have stopped after that first sentence. And I read on, and the line about the "butterflies in my stomach bullshit" reassured me greatly. It was...cute. Really cute. But not snowfall-flowers-kawaiidesu cute in the, Thank-the-mother-of-good-because-this-doesn't-suck kind of way. It was in-character, completely. I think we may have discussed this before, but this is why I fucking ADORE thiefshipping. They can kill each other, other people, torture the everloving crap out of /anything/, but sometimes they can just hang around and eat breakfast together. And can I mention how I love their cute little banter over the kid Bakura killed? Like.../that/ is how the more light-hearted thiefshipping fics should be done. Because, as versatile Marik and Bakura are, flowers and rainbows just do not suit them. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't prefer your murder-y stuff, but hey, that's just sick twisted little me. This was fantastic, and you can really write these two like this really well. Good job (: |
ChaosRocket chapter 1 . 7/12/2010 "I think people get the wrong villain stereotype. Whoever said Bakura was cruel and heartless and didn't keep attachments? Well – maybe he's a little cruel, but come one, he's avenging the death of 100 members of his family. Give the guy a fucking break." I love this line! So true. Though, the number is wrong- it was 99 sacrifices and they actually killed far more than that, because they didn't want to leave witnesses. I don't think Bakura would murder someone out of boredom, since in the canon he only ever kills people for a specific purpose, but other than that, this was fairly realistic. As long as I'm reviewing, do you think you could please go back and add a non-con warning to your fic that contains non-con content? I recognized your name as being one of the authors that wrote a non-con fic, which I accidentally read and got triggered since there was no warning. I was wary of reading this fic because of that, but I read the reviews first and then I knew this one was definitely safe. Anyways, it would just be nice if you added a warning to your other fic so that you don't accidentally trigger other people with PTSD. Thanks :) |
KekiAiKohi chapter 1 . 7/6/2010 good story~ |
Individually Packaged chapter 1 . 7/1/2010 What an introspective piece. I really liked it. You portrayed Marik's voice very nicely. :) |
Almond Luver chapter 1 . 6/24/2010 Heh... with all that 'smiling' in italics, I thought Bakura was up to something. (What, I wonder? Naughty fangirl brain) Yes, Malik, being a villain isn't that bad. Especially if you get to be with Bakura. Same goes for Bakura. "I think people get the wrong villain stereotype" That line hit me in the head SO HARD. Because I sort of was expecting Bakura to start... idk, carving on Malik's sweet little torso? So, this gave me a totally different view of thiefshipping and sadistic villains in general. Decent job. Write more of these? Signed with kisses- |
AudiblexGasp chapter 1 . 6/22/2010 Wow. I liked this fic. And I don't even ship Thiefshipping (directly). But the dang, you write well. Everything was grammatically correct, and the fic itself was cynical and darkly romantic and everything a good fic IS. By all means, keep it up. C ya! ~~~~~ |
ladyblackwell chapter 1 . 6/18/2010 This is EXCELLENT! And under-reviewed. And I FUCKING LOVE VILLIANS. Especially when they're being...I don't know...like you wrote them here. XD I don't know, I like evil people being affectionate more than evil people being evil...it's just more interesting because it's less what you'd expect. And for some reason (possibly that I'm a massive Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan) I thought of Spike and Dru from Season 2 of Buffy. Which you should go watch. Because I see from your profile that you hate Twilight (so do I) and Buffy is pretty much the anti-Twilight. What was I talking about again? Oh yeah. Villians. Whom I love. So yeah. Anywhoo. I loved it. |
scrambled-eggs-at-midnight chapter 1 . 6/15/2010 Aww! I loved, I really did. It's certainly a twist to read fluff from you, but it's definitely a good one. And really, I never thought of either of them as "evil" either. They're just doing what they need to to get by. Great job, this was definately a win. -Eggy |
