![]() ![]() Wow. You have captured the heart of Pandora and the characters of the movie. Great job. I couldn't put it down. |
![]() ![]() I want MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story is amazing. From your last post you said you would begin work on the 2nd book by thanksgiving of 2010. seeing as how it is june 2011 either this has not yet happened, or you are holding out with updating. all i can do is implore you to update and begin book 2. avatar is one of my most favorite works created, i absolutely adore everything it is and has to offer. Just the movie was not enough for me, I need more of it. Your story has done that for me, and having reached the end I can't help but feel saddened. I hope you see this review and take it into account. Such a wonderful story should not remain unfinished. I love the underlying plot themes you have woven into your story and the realisticness of it all. And i must confess, I secretly cannot wait for jake and neytiri to have a kid of their own. But this can't be possible if you don't write it. From one avatar lover to another, please please please continue your saga. I will wait longly until you begin book 2. your avid reader and fan, RiverOfSecrets |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well I'm excited to see that you're back to writing. I was following this story when you were updating the first version, and I've since gotten an account, and wondered what happened to this story. I'm going to have to reread, but I remember that it was one of my favorites, so I'll be looking forward to catching up and reading new material from then. Good to see that this story isn't dead. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice end for the first book. I look forward to reading the next one. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was looking for this story for awhile and I realized I couldn't find it because you reposted it. I'm glad I found it though...I've read through the first few chapters and I am riveted. I love that you extend your creativity while maintaining the integrity of the original story. It's a very enjoyable read thus far and I can't wait to download this onto my ipod to read on a cold rainy day. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() great book when do you plan on publishing book two? |

![]() ![]() ![]() I hope you update again soon. :3 I love this story, and how it is playing out. |
![]() ![]() Good story the only thing I didn't like though was the fact that Jake and neytiri couldn't have kids of their own |

![]() ![]() ![]() The second Mother Tree is an interesting development. And it makes me wonde why the site was abandoned. Sheesh this whole chapter left me with questions. So, there is a Book 2 in the works. Soon-ish I hope! Please!:D Kat |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hi! Me again. Ok, things that I noticed: Some things seem to develop too quickly in a chronological sense. An example would be Norm. He is shot fighting the RDA and his avatar is down. I supose it isn't to farfetched but it seemed odd he was out in the field in 2 weeks time, Max must have some miricle drugs or avatars have supper healing! 2 or 3 days after being stabed he is out again, but it is noted he is still in recovery. This one is less trouble some because he has had Native medicine used on him, and in stories that is always a near miricle cure. :) The Norm and Karen romance ended to quickly. I can see the reason for charicters to die in stories, often that is thier sole purpose! I think Karen's death was premature. If she had been a littel more developed, a bit more screen time, her death would have had more of an impact on the reader. There was a bit of shock when i first read it, but truthfuly unles the arrow wound had hit something vital like a major internal artery or the heart it should have been a chance for survival. It seemed like she was second rate and nobody realy put much effort into helping her. At this point we are 3, 4 days after Jakes passing through the Eye of Eywa? A lot has happened in a very short time! Oh, and one technical thingy I got when I was looking at the Activists survival guide. The Hydra gun on the gunships is that big silver thing Wainfleet is maning when they attack hometree. Its a 3 barreled gun that has a monsteriously huge rate of fire. the ammo for it is in some kind of storeage magazine in the body of the gunship. I think it and its ammo are to big for even an avatar to "man" pack. I think the gun Jake and the other avatars were useing like a rifle was the GS221 .30calibre Light Machine Gun. It was the smaller gun that was door mounted on Trudy's Sampson. :) Please don't get me wrong, I love this story and enjoy reading it. I just though that I would try to give a little constructive crt. I am very much looking forward to the next book! Kat |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is an absolutely brilliant story. A very worthy successor to the movie. I can't wait for more. Update soon. It's a pity that FanFiction is considered plagiarism. because you would get a ton of money for this piece of work. Looking forward to the rest of the story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hi! I was wondering, everyone seems to place Norm as a Botanist, but he seemed clumsy and untrained when he was assisting Grace. Contaminateing samples and everything! lol Not that he didn't seem sharp, but hey, hr did make the cut for the avatar program. My understanding was that he was more of a anthropologist or linguist. Isn;t that why at first he was jelious of Jake, because he had trained several years to do just what he did by acident? All that aside, your version of Norm works well in your story. Kat |
