Well I really wanted to continue this story, and I was really liking it, but then you made him attracted to her while she was underage and it completely killed it. I get so frustrated with authors who think that this is a good route to take. It isn't. It is gross and an instant turn off. Stop doing it. You ruin the already small pool of KakaSaku stories with this pedophilic nonsense.

Hi, so I finally got around to giving this a proper reread, and I just wanted to say thank you for sharing!

It still holds up, and I picked up some nuances and details I missed the first time so that was neat. :3

I really liked the ending. I apreciated that they got to talk about their feeling and mistakes and fears and hopes without sweeping it under the rug. With the air cleared, we can believe that their happy ever after is truly secure. 3

The KakaSaku relationship was well done, and the kiss before the final battle was just so great! Kakashi actually saying I love you, and then saying it again once everything was over was just perfect.
I liked their friendship and banter and everything in between.

I loved what you did with Naruto. It's rarer than it should be to find fics that portray him as more mature/competent and serious, even rarer in KakaSaku fics. This fic has one of my fav takes on the character out there tbh.
He's mature and serious, but doesn't lose his lovable sunshine traits and so still feels in character.
His entire arc was so much more satisfying than whatever the hell late stage canon was doing. I liked how you showed the downsides to being Hokage, but we also know he'll make it work. He won't ever neglect his family or ignore his friends.

I apreciated all the little moments where you showed him as a leader. The one where he ordered Sakura to stay back and not risk walking into a trap, stands out espcially. But then their reconcilliation later (among other scenes) showcased how much he values communication and values his comrades' input.
If all the little moments that came before didn't do it, then his final confrontation with Danzo and his awesome speech, really cemented that/why he'll make an excellent Hokage for Konoha.

Hinata was another gem. Now I actually don't typically like reading about Hinata. I just find her a bit boring, I prefer more take charge/willful characters like Sakura. Fics that make Hinata more wilful often do so at the expense of her core character and personality though, and often at expense of Sakura's development at that.

This story kept Hinata very much in character, while letting her be strong and brave in a way that suits her character. Her subtle rebellion and acts of bravery were never ever boring. This is probably the best portrayal of Hinata I've ever come acros. I loved her arc. I loved her relationship with Hanabi (also love what u did wt Hanabi btw). I loved her relationship with Naruto. As someone who's usually not that big on the NaruHina paring, I always point to this fic as an example of how to make it work and my reread only reinforced that view.

I loved what you did with Sai, and his relationship wt Hanabi was cute.

I really liked Sakura and Shizune's bond.

I really liked what you did wt Sasuke and loved how his arc ended. The team 7 group hug goodbye, his having Kakashi's back, and him joining the fire temple. It was just so much more satisfying than canon!

I was bit surprised Sakura and Kakashi's stuff was still in one piece and not destroyed by root. Her house too. Also that her parents survived, but I suppose the resistence managed to whisper in the right ears in the right ways. The house was prolly worth more getting rent paid, and I guess her parents were too far off too bother with, and their money was good? Anyway this all meant Kakashi and Sakura had a home to start over in so yay! 3

I loved Shiko and how she got have her own little character arc too. 3

I've been a fan of your work for years but somehow missed this story. It's my first time reading kakasaku, and not gonna lie, I'm a little obsessed with this pairing now lol.

The story itself was fantastic! I love a good plot with a healthy dose of romance, and you didn't disappoint. The different character views and subplots kept things interesting, and you did a great job digging into the psychological effects of the war on each character and exploring how their actions and choices helped mold their past and present.

You're an amazing writer, and if you ever write an original novel (or have already written one), please let me know!

I cried because Sasuke left the village. Sasuke suffered so much all his life. But I really like the ending. very satisfactory. I love this KakaSaku story well written

This story was well written and engaging. I enjoyed reading every second of it. There were times I was annoyed, mostly at Kakashi being unwilling to let Sakura past his barriers. Please keep up the good work.

This was a super fun read. I’ve never really thought of Sakura x Kakashi before, but I really see them as a believable match in this story (without either character being OOC, which is nice). Also, it was a great balance of romance with legit plot. Sometimes, romance stories (fan fictions and beyond) have no real plot and are clearly all about setting up various romantic encounters for the main leads. This didn’t feel that way at all and there was plenty of other interesting things going on with other characters to keep things interesting.

Anyway, great story. Enjoyed reading it.

This is the BEST fanfic i’ve ever read, for real i don’t even know what to say right now, i’m not even that sad that i already finished it, everything was perfect in every way possible, so serious and real world situations combined with all of the strong feelings of sadness, regret, happiness, love, fear… the expectations of everyone to just have normal happy moments in their life with the contrast of terrifying grief not only for the ones’s they’ve already lost, but the constant reminder that they were all too close to die themself’s, and for them to slowly realize that they were not ready to die even if they were trained to do so, when love is that strong, is just pure happiness for me…

How? This is just… i would be thrilled to see this story in a tv series, i wouldn’t even be mad if it wasn’t exactly anime or this specific character’s for that matter, i would buy it and rewatched it every year.

Damn, this story is so sad so full of emotions and reading while listening to spa music is really really making it even more deep for me, i even reread certain parts of every chapter over and over again, i can’t even understand how is it that i can feel everything that real, it’s just amazing…
