*cries* I love it but damn...
| Guest chapter 1 . 10/24/2010
Heh, it sounds bad doesn't it, the Devil's brother Michael. And stories about personal anguish and happiness have always been more catchy than those about generic moral tenets with no personal touch so you're quite right there.
| The Red Hoodie chapter 1 . 9/12/2010
This is so much better than how the show ended! Are you sure you're not Kripke in disguise? ;)
| CeCe Away chapter 1 . 7/14/2010
That would have been a sweet ending as well.
| xxxNOVAxxx chapter 1 . 6/25/2010
that was soooo great. it made me almost cry. i wish it ended that way to. but then there would be no more Supernatural and i cant wait for Season 6!
| Mario Andrew Neophytou chapter 1 . 6/25/2010
It's beautiful how you've managed to capture the pure and unbreakable sense of brotherhood that was built up in the show, how these two brothers would more likey sacrifice themselves together rather than live on their own and personnally i'd of preffered to have seen the events written in this fanfic occur in the season finale as opposed to what really happened.
This was a true battle between good and evil, love and hate a real and proper climactic battle for everything these two brothers had been fighting for and not the silliness that was shown in "Supernatural - Swan Song". Those moments where you described each and every movement during the fight sequence between Sam and Michael were gold! And the description of a battered Dean "vessels had burst and cuts had sliced at his usually flawless flesh" Beautiful and somewhat has an erotic? feel to it.
In regards to "Swan Song" People would say that "they cant have sent them to hell because they'd be killing them off" well sorry but they would have easily been able to have brought them back, they wouldn't have been damned to hell for sacrificing themselves to save everyone they LOVE as well as the Earth and even the heavenly forces too so God would have bailed them out seeing as he has over all control.
This was both an appropriate and much more emotional ending, maybe you can teach the writers a few lessons! ;-)
I absolutely love this!
| sweetysmart0505 chapter 1 . 6/25/2010
That was totally beautiful. I much prefer this ending to what they actually did, mainly because I can't stand the thought of Dean living and apple pie life while his brother is suffering. So, this was perfect. Very well done!
| adeepeningheart chapter 1 . 6/25/2010
Love this story. It's written from the heart. I love the way you delve into every single detail; it makes it so real. You can literally see it in your mind's eye. I also love the way you jump from character to character, showing all points of view in one fell swoop (at least, I think that's the term for it). It's absolutely amazing, just like you.
KEEP WRITING, GIRL!
| emielou chapter 1 . 6/24/2010
I have no issues with the way the season ended, but I kinda figured it would end in a very similar fashion to this story. Sad but beautiful story.
| pandora jazz chapter 1 . 6/24/2010
Not sure what to say, except thanks!
I know I would have been crying if this had played out on the scene, but your ending makes more sense than the one Kripke gave the viewers. (I cried after that one, but have now moved onto anger - I won't even mention what I think of Lisa or Kripke)
If we couldn't have the brothers drive off in the Impala as the scene faded to black, than I would have preferred to see them go out together and you stated it beautifully in your final lines.
'...at the end of it all, it was always about two brothers – two brothers willing to fight for each other and die for each other. It was always about the Winchesters and the family bond that could never be severed; not even by the devil and his brother.'
This was an excellent alternate ending to "Swan Song".
Thanks for sharing it with us.
