|Reviews for A Day or Two in the Life of Inspector Gregson|
| Jedi Ani Unduli chapter 2 . 7/25/2010
Wow. If that's a NORMAL day, I'd hate to see a BAD day. :-) Great chapters so far. More, please? I'm glad you're giving Gregson more of a shape than of what I've read in other stories. Makes 'im more like a real person, ya know?

I like all the detail you pack in, and your depiction of the ability of the yarders to bicker on the surface and look out for each other at the same time. Thank you

Cool, an update! What a day, huh? Poor Bradstreet, that must have been hard for him. And Toby is so cute! I noticed that "Tommy, Toby, Barty, and Archie" is in reverse alphabetical order. Was that intentional? Great story!

I admit to a little confusion. It's early enough in the morning that Gregson's just got to work and there's a large bunch of people in the pub and up for a fight?
Seems a little odd.
Especially as the fight's been going on for a while it seems. I suppose it might be down the docks or Covent Garden as both docks and markets start early (we used to have to have our fruit on the market loading dock by 6am) maybe mention that next time because otherwise there seems to be a gap of some hours between Gregson leaving the breakfast table and arriving at work.
Other than that... I do like Lestrade in the pub, with the loud whistle and then dealing with the consequences because someone has to and he is the senior man.
And his quiet integrity later.

I also hope those constables are ok. This was full of vivid and lovely details.

I like the idea of all these yarders waiting patiently to be put in writing. Some very charming background home detail, it must have been as essential for a police officer to have a stable home life then as it is now, with all the wierd shifts and cancelled leave and extra done.

Awww! Little Toby is so cute! I hope those constables are okay after using Lestrade's note board as a message board...
