voodooqueen126 chapter 17 . 8/3/2012 I like your rational explanations for sillier aspects of the plot |
voodooqueen126 chapter 16 . 8/3/2012 This is wear I think the Mormon allegory and your fic coincide. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 15 . 8/3/2012 I love how Smeyers unintentionally created a fic that could be loved by atheists... |
voodooqueen126 chapter 14 . 8/3/2012 I love the discussion on romance novels. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 13 . 8/3/2012 Yes. Why was Carlisle shallow? Or perhaps because he was compassionate he just picked people who were dying? or Perhaps the neotony associated with beauty also correlates with intelligence. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 12 . 8/3/2012 So clever. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 11 . 8/3/2012 "Oh," I breathed. That was... that was better. He seemed to think it was worse that it had been a conscious choice instead of a moment of failed control. I didn't agree. This was partly because it made me safer. If he decided to eat humans again, well, I was a little more appealing than some potential victims, but I was appealing in an impulse way more than in a deliberative way. If I wasn't in a room with him, and he mulled to himself that he really preferred to go back to munching humans, it would be more likely that he'd hie himself off to another big city, find another suitably depraved victim, and eat them instead. - So true. I had a discussion about this sort of thing with my flatmate, as to why the previous crazy flatmate was so much scarier than the taxi flatmate who beat up fare avoiders... |
voodooqueen126 chapter 10 . 8/3/2012 Book Bella is shallow, but she doesn't know it, this renders her despicable . This one notes that her reasons for liking Edward are shallow, but somehow ends up much more likeable. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 9 . 8/3/2012 I think despite the fact that it's the 21st century, men do not like to be chased. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 8 . 8/3/2012 Superior in everyway to the original Twilight. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 7 . 8/3/2012 It seems mad for Alice to tell the truth straight up. But then the truth might work best on rational people. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 6 . 8/3/2012 her tendency towards indiscriminate gossip wasn't showing any signs of being a fluke - Gossip is a useful way for women to learn which men are creepy and therefore should be avoided. Also I love your discussion between Bella and Edward: in the movies and from what I can gather in the books, there was nothing about Bella's personality that was interesting, so therefore it was impossible for me to imagine that Edward could truly love her. Where as her rationality in this fic actually makes her slightly more sexy. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 5 . 8/3/2012 Why didn't Alice mention her pre-vampire favourite foods? Or did she have total amnesia? |
voodooqueen126 chapter 4 . 8/3/2012 He seemed to be reacting more to some background hum of gossip, like what I'd heard from Jessica, than to anything I'd said. Apparently he was upset that the locals felt the need to make unkind comments about the Cullens when Forks was so lucky to have such a fine doctor in residence. - A very painful and nasty observation of human nature. It shows Charlies' goodness that he is able to see this as wrong. |
voodooqueen126 chapter 3 . 8/3/2012 I love your character's intelligence. I wish I had thought of these sorts of excuses to get out of PE. |
