I don't know if Castiel removed the handprint or not. We really haven't had a good look at him shirtless in the last two seasons.

Beautifully written! "I wish to forget him...just as I wish you to forget hell." Just wonderful - the angst, the pain, the wistfulness.
Ok, now I can't wait for Sam and Dean to be reunited in Season 6...they really need to cut back on the angst in the next season!

An interesting question. What is it actually a scar? Because honestly to me it looked much more like a burn, the way it seemed to be a hand shaped blister. A scar wouldn't have hurt, would it have? It was obvious the handprint did. I guess a burn that big would leave some type of mark. LOL! Look at me using the challenge word in my review! Nice Job! :-)

The last line was the best - Cas telling Dean that he's changed - that he realizes it and accepts it.
| Shannz chapter 1 . 7/13/2010
Hmmmm. Interesting questions.
Nicely done! And thanks for the welcome :)
| DeansBabyBird chapter 1 . 7/13/2010
Ummm...interesting premise...weirdly I would miss the scar, it's become part of him and it's a cool scar! I look forward to finding out if you're right.

Interesting thought - would Cas' healing go that far I wonder? A new body for Dean yet again...
I get the feeling that Cas' sentiment in the last line is doomed to fail - we are the sum of our memories, and lessons learned in pain have now forged both angel and man into something stronger and wiser, don't you think?
Phew, solemn thoughts for a Tuesday afternoon! :D

If Cas only could heal Dean's soul as he healed his body :-(
Really liked this drabble, Edina. And I loved Cas's reply! Hell no, he isn't the same, and thank God for that - though, it's rather Dean's merit :-)
About the scar: I'd guess that they take the imprint of the hand away in the show - though in my opinion it should stay, it's a remnant of one of the most important incidents of his life (er - if you can call it life, being in the pit).
Thanks for sharing!
