Oh man. So definitely Charlie has an *ss kicking coming, and I agree-I hope Bella is the one to deliver it. But I hope Rose takes Jacob apart. To know-even to suspect-what is happening to Bella and make no move to help her? Now that is evil. That might not be how you intended Jacob to be perceived (I saw your a/n about how he's "just there"), but that kind of indifference is inexcusable and selfish and just plain wrong. Charlie is evil because he's evil. Jacob is choosing to be evil by being indifferent.

Other than that-I adore how you've characterized Rosalie. I like it when an author takes a new approach to a character like that.

Love evilCharlie...I actually really love EvilRenee, but I don't see her much...anyway, I'm totally in. Not sure about the 2 storylines, but willing to go along for the ride. This storyline is great.

Oh I like this. I absolutely love your writing style. And I'm really buying this big kick-ass sister thing you have going with Rosalie, too. Nice to see her like that, but still Rosalie.

Now, I could totally try to dazzle you with my own brilliance by saying 'Kipling', but even though I would love that one-shot, I will be honest and say that everything is, uhm, googleable these days. Besides, I won't be needing a oneshot right now, it seems you have a lot more stories for me to read and I haven't even finished this one et so..

Great story, and very well written. Edward seems a little mysterious, which I like, and Rose is wonderful here. It's always nice to see her portrayed as someone who has a heart, instead of a cold hearted you know what.

The situation with Charlie and Bella however, is absolutely heartbreaking; could he be anymore evil? I sincerly hope that Bella finds the strength to try to find a way out of this horrible situation. The Cullen's have given her an opening, extended a helping hand so to speak, and now she really needs to take it. Though I can only imagine what so many years of abuse have done to her psyche, so it's understandable that you are writing her as reluctant to seek help. With Charlie's position as the Chief of Police I would imagine he'd have the power to bury any evidence and make the lives of anyone who tried to interfere difficult. Which may explain why Bella is attempting to protect them instead of herself.

All in all, very well done and intriguing. I really hope you'll continue it. I'm looking forward to seeing how things play out.
