I've been a fan of Full Course, Spotted!, and Discoveries for awhile now, but I'm finally getting around to reading your other stories, and I'm glad I did. I really liked this.

You always write the Fruits Basket group well, of course - but I also enjoyed your OCs, which isn't something I say often. What I especially liked was how no one was perfect - not the Soumas, not the Prince of Pears (nice metaphor, the whole garden bit, by the way). He was distressingly normal. He was jealous of her friends. And things didn't work out, and how very true to life that can be. Even good people can be wrong for each other. But then, that's life.

This story was amazing. You got the dynamics between the Sohmas and Tohru exactly right, it was well written, and the plot was engaging. Plus all the Yukiru and Kyoru action made my inner fangirl squeal with glee.

It's been a while since you finished this, but hopefully that will make a review at this late date more appreciated. In any case, I just wanted to say what a beautiful fic this was. The progression was a little slow in places and I really didn't know what to make of Fujitsima, but I think that was how it was meant to be. Although I would have liked a resolution for the pairing that I favor I think that leaving it open ended suits very well. This is a very thoughtful examination of some of the difficulties involved in dating, meeting and deciding about other people, and how to treat them. I really loved your analogy of love and plants. Love is a very complicated subject of course and highly subjective so it may be impossible for anything to explain it fully, but I think that your metaphor did a good job of covering some of the salient points. The difficulty and pain of such emotional entanglements which is so much a part of the reality of relationships is clearly seen here and perhaps even more clearly presented through the simplicity of Tohru's viewpoint. She may have been a little dense from the readers point of view, but it was necessary for the purpose of the story to be brought out as each step of the process of understanding was uncovered a little more. Tohru handled her first attempt at such a tricky part of human interaction with unusual grace and honesty, as befits her personality. There need be no 'bad guy' to make the story complete, nor any clear winner since that wasn't the purpose of this tale. Instead it is an excellent glimpse into the personalities and interactions of both the unusual characters we are familiar with from the original story and some very ordinary, everyday sorts of people. It shows how both similarities and differences can be significant and not such a big deal after all, even at the same time. In that and various other regards this piece has a realism that speaks to the reader. I enjoyed the humorous moments as well. Thank you for sharing this with us. I am a fan of some of your other works as well.

This fic is AMAZING! I didn't review all chapters because I found this fic just recently and just couldn't stop reading! But, I really love your fics! You keep everyone in character and just... *sniff, wipes at teary eye* WONDERFUL.

I loved everyone in this, but Yuki... wow. Totally awesome! I was really hoping for a pairing resolution at the end, pushing in the Yukiru direction... but this ending is good too. I read a fic awhile back that had alternative endings... that's always an option...
