Interesting setup here. I actually prefer Shep/Miranda, or Shep/Ashley, but this is done exceptionally well. I see you used several references to Fight Club in this chapter. Namely the term of Jack, and "It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything." Personally, I'm hoping Shepard doesn't become a pure renegade. I always preferred the female Shepard as the ruthless type. Especially if you compare the voices side by side. I also believe Hannah Shepard would stand by her son's decisions, and he should never throw away what he was taught. Update soon.
