I loved your take on the continuation of "Le marais". I felt a connection to it when I watched Paris je t'aime and was left dreaming about what happened next. If ever a continuation to the story was made, I'd like to see it play out like this :)

To start off, thank you for writing and sharing the only le marais fanfiction ever. It is a very satisfying read.
I commend you for putting more personality into the 6 minute characters; the movie was too short to get a wholesome feel of their traits and quirks. I just watched this today in French class, and was instantly caught by the subtle sensuality in Gaspard's acting, and the character's interactions. You, F3llie, brought a sort of closure to the ridiculous cliff hanger while not fangasming the entire plot and tone of the movie. Thank you for not randomly PORNing them up whilst confessing their feelings similar to lovestruck girls like most gay-loving girls would; although the PORNing part is entirely warranted by the way it [the movie] ended.
I especially love the fact that you do not use quotation marks when they are speaking. Normally, that would irritate me to no end, however, I can see there is a purpose to it. It is to accentuate the fact that although there is no true communication between the two [I didn't know what he was saying; I don't speak French that well] but there is an undeniable attraction that allows understanding and relationship. This also becomes apparent when you have Gaspard state this to Elias.
Your tone and attitude is accurate, your prose is wonderful, and your creativity is realistic. 'Somewhere' supplemented Le Marais beautifully, making readers like the short-movie even more.
So once again, thank you for sharing with us.

The 7th time is charm! The last time I checked on Paris, je t'aime stories, there were only six. And then I see that there's a seventh, and I think to myself, "Could it about one my favorite arrondissements?" And it was!
This was a beautiful short story. You captured the characters very well and realistically played out what might have happened. I also enjoyed how you referenced the "soul mates" line from the film. I love the ideas behind soul mates, so much so that the Le Marais segment inspired me to write a story (different fandom, though).
Thank you so much for writing about this under-appreciated film. It was a joy to read!
