Guest chapter 18 . 11/4/2015 i really hope mara jade doesn't end up with luke. its redundant and overused. i don't mind her being there, just not with luke. theres more to luke than mara jade. |
Guest chapter 18 . 10/10/2015 Reread your story - and still enjoyed it and wondering where it will end up. No recent visitations from Kenobi? Still no idea about the purple flash when Luke lost his hand but clearly Vaderbecoming more Anakin. Luke still naive perhaps more obviously so than in ESB - more like ANH and of course Palpatine plotting against Vader. I know you have said that you will finish the story however long it takes. I hope so. |
knobrien21 chapter 18 . 8/24/2015 I really liked this chapter. Please continue |
Varykino chapter 13 . 8/11/2015 I love your story! I hope you find time to finish the story as you planned. I know myself how hard time is to come by at times... All the best! |
AI chapter 18 . 6/16/2015 I like this slow relationship between Luke and Vader. Vader is rediscovering that loving someone will lead to fear as well as pride. Worried about the rebel command declaring Luke a traitor, but will that affect anything? What is up with the leak to the Holonet channel? Who is the purple light saber wielder? Lots of things I'd love to find out. Thanks for sharing! |
one of the lost chapter 18 . 6/14/2015 Cool. Please write more. |
multyfangirl21 chapter 10 . 6/10/2015 and now their bond is getting stronger :) |
multyfangirl21 chapter 7 . 6/5/2015 heh heh bringing R2's past into this eh? What happened to luke? is he merely knocked out or is he really hurt? |
multyfangirl21 chapter 6 . 6/5/2015 poor luke , unlike Baspin he doesnt get to be away from his father to help him come to terms with the revelation |
Philomena chapter 18 . 5/25/2015 What a fantastic piece of literature you've written. I devoured all 18 chapters (wonderfully long chapters!) in a day, enamored with your characterizations, plot, and its twists. The relationship between Vader and Luke is one of the best portrayals I have ever seen; you really capture the former's cold, powerful demeanor and unfamiliarity with fatherhood while still allowing the compassionate father to slip out increasingly often. I am assuming Luke is slightly younger than canon in this story, right? He's constantly described as being a teenager, though in the movies he'd probably be closer to 20 not long after the events with the Death Star. His stubbornness and compassion are spot on, while his neutrality in the Force is interesting and a great perspective on what he might have become if he'd never been trained by Yoda. In chapter 13, you mistakenly refer to Luke's "artificial left hand," but other than that I haven't seen any errors. The progression of this story is amazing. I like how you have kept numerous plotlines running in addition to the Luke-Vader story, allowing them to enhance the reader's understanding of what's going on and letting the side-characters shine (or remain darkly mysterious) as well. The incident with the purple flash seems so long ago, and I am surprised that Vader has not been more concerned with discovering who mutilated his son. Though considering all that has happened since then, it is possible that he just has more pressing concerns. Thank you for writing this great fic, I appreciate the time and effort you've put into making a quality work. Best of luck to you. |
Eborrose chapter 16 . 4/20/2015 I found myself rereading this when I accidentally came across it again (it down as one of my favourites). I cannot remember if I did any reviews the first time. I do enjoy the interaction between Vader and Luke and between Luke and the storm troopers, the hint of anger at Kenobi for his economy with the truth. The Emperor continues to be scheming and manipulative presumably wanting to get rid of a damaged Anakin Skywalker in favour of a more powerful and challenging Luke, hence I presume that lack of intelligence given to Vader about the planet. I look forward to reading the next chapter when you have time to write and post. It is reassuring to read that you have it planned and will finish regardless of length of time between postings. All good things come to those who wait. Thanks |
creativesm75 chapter 18 . 1/26/2015 interesting last line. |
Bountyhunter1977 chapter 5 . 1/14/2015 and now the meeting , it always bugged me is how come Obi-Wan lived in that hut for 2 decades give or take and there was just one book there about Jedi training and what not. he had plenty of time to make a book shelf full of books for Luke. |
Bountyhunter1977 chapter 4 . 1/14/2015 I think Luke at some point should have quit using Starfighters for his everyday transportation and he dose this in later years i do acknowledge, unless a situation calls for it and he could just use one that is handy, and if he want to use a Y.T. modal i would have him get a YT-1000 light freighter its a bit smaller the the Falcon and i think the cockpit is better placed as it is not out in the open like the Falcon or the YT-2400 light freighter. that's my little rant sorry, |
Bountyhunter1977 chapter 3 . 1/14/2015 what Luke needs to find, i know at this point 18 chapters are out at present time and i will not read ahead to see where Luke goes so i will give my idea on what should happen perhaps not in this story but another if it interests any one, but Luke needs to drawn buy Obi-Wan or the Force or what ever to a old Jedi Enclave or an old Jedi space stations from centuries past that has been forgotten by Jedi and Sith alike that has training material, Knowledge on Jedi like a Holocron or something similar so he can get a lot of the basics learned before he meets up with Yoda and they can skip a lot of that that they did in Cannon so they can concentrate on more advance Techniques and even get in to the Philosophy of the Jedi and How the old Order functioned as a organization and how it worked with in the Republic. That was a lot of stuff Luke missed out on and caused a lot of his Problems in the novels that did not get corrected till after the Vong War, I hated that war, and even then he was barley getting by. |
