What a great reveal! I wonder if Palpatine ever had to force down his hate and discomfort of Anakin’s lightside presence when he was seducing Anakin to the dark side. This story just gets better and better!

Was he remembering Padme? When did a red lightsaber reflect off her skin? Who was the old man’s signature? The collapsed subterranean structure? Who was the figure crushed by rubble? Most flickers I recognized, but those I’m confused by. Still the remark he’d crossed the point of no return, gives hope.

So exciting. A joy to read. :D

Too bad Anakin couldn’t see from the outset with what diabolical things his “friend” Palpatine would later enjoy torturing him. That kind, wise mentor who constantly stroked his ego and poisoned his mind towards his true friends.
This is a dynamic start. Please don’t abandon this! I see it’s unfinished and has been 4 years since last update, but it’s reviews are so promising I can’t resist taking the chance of starting a ride that I can only hope won’t leave me ghosted at the end without closure!

It's palpatine, not trying to spoil it for others, so not going to go into details. Like the idea, and is very likely what would have happened just as in ROTJ.

Great story! I love the interaction between Luke and Vadar, and the side plot with Leia and Han is really neat too! The way you describe the Force is beautifully poetic, and I very much enjoy every scene from Luke’s POV - he’s just so sweet and earnest! It’s just so typical that he’s making friends with stormtroopers, and that side joke about the media hassling him over his communicator was pretty funny! I guess Vadar’s gonna have to get him another one, hopefully more secure? Looking forward to seeing more of Chatter and R2, and definitely to the secret of the owner of the purple blade that struck Luke. Keep up the great work, and don’t kill yourself over updating! Just ‘cause I’m looking forward to more doesn’t mean I can’t wait a bit longer.
