Not a bad story, I like the idea and it seems really good. I hope this is a Vader Redemption story, cause those are really the only stories taht I like to read.

Great set-up. I love what you've given us-the image of the Imperial Palace, and a concisely written summation of where Vader is right now. Of course, the fact that the audience knows where he's going makes this all the more intriguing.

A very engaging start! i like your Vader; you write him very canonically, very convincingly. I'd like to follow and see where you go; I think (and really hope) I smell the beginning of a long rollicking epic... ? Bravo! I don't think being out of the fandom for such a long time has hurt you at all so far. Possibly the opposite, in fact. :)
