That's why Hogan is the colonel. Really smart of him to get the clues together. What a relief that they found something before they had to ask for help. "We'll look stupid," I'm still laughing on this one.

I could really have seen this as an episode of the series. What a riot! The scene with the guys following Hogan from the barracks to the rec hall reminds me of the episode in which Hogan and the team were chasing that little dog. Loved the scene with Carter and the jigsaw puzzle. And I have a suspicion that once Kinch translates what's on that paper Hogan found, there's gonna be more frustration.

That was a very amusing game of Monopoly. I think I can relate to Newkirk and Carter during this. Monopoly can be a very frustrating game. :)

We used to play this game all the time when I was little... but it was sure hard to get into it as an adult when my son wanted to play... yeah... I hear the boys! LOL

I loved the humor in this chapter- especially that it was Newkirk who landed in jail, and Carter in the beauty contest.

This was probably the most amusing game of Monopoly I've seen. LOL! I could see them playing like I was sitting at the table, watching. Poor Newkirk; that's where I usually end up, too! Looks like Hogan is going crazy wondering where the hidden message is in this board game. I enjoyed how everybody decided to take off when Hogan suggested they play the board game, and he had to end up ordering them to play it. Loved LeBeau's reaction when he realized he'd won the game. Naturally Newkirk would be the banker. I wonder where the hidden message is and will the guys ever find it?

I must confess that Monopoly is the most boring game I've ever played (a cultural thing, I guess.) Anyway, you make it look so exciting and fun, I would've wished to play with those guys. And Newkirk goes to jail! That's so funny! That was my usual place in the game BTW LOL.

What a cute idea for a story. I remember reading this article and I found it pretty fascinating (sometimes truth is stranger than fiction as they say).

I loved Newkirk and Carter getting confused over the British/American titles for the games. Oddly enough I am from the US and I always thought of the game as "Snakes & Ladders". The rest I was definitely not familiar with the British names. So I guess I learned some stuff today.

The men playing Monopoly to find the hidden message is an interesting premise. I also enjoyed the English/English-American/English dialogue between Newkirk and Carter.
