Reviews for Finding Earth |

![]() ![]() ![]() Considering the limites resources of the Tau'ri and Tok'ra it seems very peculiar that they would spend their resources on a minor allie. An allie which could not possibly sustain the technology without continuous support and who could not even maintain their position, as they are all female. No males, means no civilization or industry, just not sustainable. I always thought the Hak'tyl were too much a right-on plot point anyway. As if a System Lord would order the extinction of his own fighting force by destroying their mates. Doubly strange as we're expected to believe that Jaffa males would destroy their own families. The whole point of the Jaffa and of their whole society was to sustain the Goauld's rule. Just weak writing by the showrunners. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This chapter was just weird. The Tau'ri were boastful and vindictive, completely out of character. The statement that Earth's population was only slightly larger than most human inhabited worlds was plainly wrong. Since most worlds were under the control of the Goauld and were thus kept both primitive and at low population levels to prevent uprisings. Though obviously low tech civilizations have much smaller populations even without Goaul influence. The idea that the Lucian Alliance could be a long term credible threat is bizarre, they don't have the infrastrucure to maintain their vessels, not to mention continuous infighting. The Lucian Alliance is an criminal syndicate made up mostly of drug barons and pirates. They wouldnt nearlt have the resources needed to sustain serious R&D projects. Also, you can't just pop to Walmart and pick up million dollar missiles, nor realistically pick up Earth scientists with knowledge of alien tech without somebody cathing on to what you're doing. There could not be that many scientists involved and most would be working for the SGC or related organisations. What happened to the trip to Bifrost? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great chapter. Keep up the good work. |
![]() ![]() ![]() If the Tau'ri have the ability to negate the inertia of an object then their pilots and ships should be able to withstand a much greater acceleration. So Baltar's description of the 302's having lower acceleration than the Colonials rings hollow. Other than that, this fic is great. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very good so far. More Please. |
![]() ![]() ![]() CARTER! "Yes Sir!" Not you "But...?" Your dad. Sir? Did he have to build a Star Destroyer? |
![]() ![]() ![]() keep writing |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ok, on one hand, adding a possible star wars element could muddle things up. On the other hand I've always wanted see the Galactica (with an even level of tech) battle a Star Destroyer. So the only way we can find out is if we get... ...another chapter! |
