What a great story! Anyone who gave up reading and didn't see it through to the end had missed out. E & B were both so immature and their families torn as to what to do but you managed to garner both understanding and sympathy for them both. Well done you xXx

One thing: Edward went into an Internal Medicine (IM) residency right? So he can't be a pediatric cardiologist without doing a separate 3 year pediatric residency and then 3 year cardiology fellowship. IM is adult medicine.

I heard about your story and I really tried to love it, but it just wasn't for me. I think if the goal of the story was to create sympathy for Bella and for Edward's family to be likable, you have failed in that regard, as it seemed to me that Edward was the only sympathetic character. The main reason I think this is because I never understood the motivations behind the actions of Bella and the Cullen's. I did not understand why none of them seemed to be angry that Bella hid Edwards son from him, but rather blamed Edward, and made his life a living hell. They were his family and yet none of them showed him any kindness or compassion, and it was therefore difficult to understand them and like them, as they seemed rather mean to me. I felt the same confusion about Bella's motivation in her choices as I did with the Cullen's. I never really understood why she hid Charlie from the Cullen's, and then when they came into town she played the victim. I didn't understand why she was so cruel to Edward, going as far as wanting to hide Charlie and not let Edward be a dad-what did he even do? It seemed to me that pretty much every person in this story was under the impression that Edward was some sort of monster who raped Bella and I was not sure why they thought this. During their one night stand, they were both heavily intoxiated, they both said yes, and yes Edward should not have been so harsh, but Bella didn't say anything, and Edward was so out of his minds with drugs and alcohol, that unless she verbally told him, there was no possible way that he would have known that she was in pain. Mainly, I was just incredibly confused as to why Bella and the Cullen's acted the way that they did, which made it difficult to relate to them.
Honestly, I thought that this story had a really good concept and I think that you are a fantastic writer. You clearly are very skilled in writing and you made a story that will stick with me. Although I disliked the actions, thoughts, and feelings of the majority of the characters, that doesn't negate the impressive magnitude of this story. You truly are an amazing writer and I really wish I could have finished this story. I am incredibly sorry if I offended you in anyway, as that was never my intention. But I hope you continue writing, as you clearly have a gift.

Edward is an ass for being in denial...I mean really can't he just decide if he wants to be in Charlie's life or not

Hi littlecat358! I don't know if you read your reviews or check your stories anymore, but I felt like I needed to write this.
Okay, so I started reading this story and I love it so far. Awesomely written with things people would do and say in real life. I opened the reviews and the first one I saw was bashing Bella's character. What the heck, dude? Women are not perfect in real life and they have flaws and make mistakes. They are not all meek and mousy, stepford wives. Anyways, just wanted to say you have an awesome story here and I cannot wait to finish reading it. Love your writing style and everything :). Hope you update your other stories soon! :)
| MyVesper chapter 15 . 7/15/2016
Bella is definitely a grade A bitch. She has every right to act like a selfish teenager, and noone has anything to say about that because she hold some power (being the MOM of the son/nephew/grandchild) upon everyone. Everyone seems to forget that it was she who made the choice not tell Edward, his family, Charlie. She made the choice for everyone, then playing victims/single mom every time she has the chance. On the other side, of course, Edward is the worst guy ever who took advantage of a flawless little girl and left her pregnant and on her own. Your story shows motherhood like a really bad thing: their relationship is built on a big implicit blackmail, and some hidden frustration. Too bad, you have a great storyline but poor characters.
| MyVesper chapter 8 . 7/15/2016
E may be an ass, but B is worst. She made the choice not to tell the father of her child about her pregnancy, she has no right to play victim afterward. She preferred to relay on some random guys to help her with babysitting etc, than giving E and his family a chance to be a part of her son s life. I really feel for E: it s a huge deal to learn that you have a 3 years old son that you never knew, but besides you got no support from your family,. They even expected him to turn on his fatherhood instinct in a blink of an eye without letting him time to process everything and to grieve the time that he lost with his son.

Hated this. Bella is an immature Mary Sue and a total a-hole. She has Edward's precocious and perfect genius lisping child, but cuts off her best friend Alice for ...reasons, and tells no one until - oops - she shows up in Forks unemployed and tells the richie-rich Cullens - surprise, but it's not my fault. weep-weep. She even manages to tell Esme what a lousy lay Edward was, that he practically forced her, so it wasn't HER fault she didn't tell anyone. They tots accept everything and embrace her unemployed add like one big happy family. Why they are practically grateful to her fecund self and are frothing at the mouth at Edward. This is obviously ALL his fault and has nothing to do with Bella deciding on her own to keep this silent from the father. How on earth could she be expected to take the high road. Goodness she's just doing the best she can.. Why she's so innocent, right? How do we know she's faultless? Bella accidentally runs into - GASP - Edward and she's immediately a douchebag to him. Not a word for four years and this her reaction? So much for mature co-parenting. It's a good thing she has a BA in psychology (lutz) and can manage these more difficult human interactions like a mature single parent. FLOUNCE.
