| Mini Anonymoose chapter 22 . 5/22/2014
I tried to find this to finish this, couldn't for a minute- and had a mini panic attack because I thought that they had taken it down. Then, when I saw it again, I got all excited. This was awesome, and if you continued it, it would be one of my new favorites. w

I LOVE YOU
YOU BRILLIANT INSANE AUTHOR
| KazunaPikachu chapter 22 . 2/15/2012
That was so incredibly awesome! The adrenaline, the drama, the sweet romance and bitter spite! The action, the plot, the twists and the turns - the swirl of insanity that had me giddy for more! Needless to say, I LOVED it!
You wove the plot seamlessly - I was impressed with the epic-ness of the story. The galactic battle, the strategies, the formation of the Resisty and the sequencing of the action scenes were done beautifully. I couldn't stop reading it. A splendid amount of romance with an explosive finish that was heartwarming and gratifying.
Your writing improved incredibly from the first chapter. I loved how you started it - with Dib losing his mind and having an alternate Zim-ego. I loved the repeated concept: "you broke him, because you were trying to fix something that wasn't broken in the first place." I felt for Membrane - I really did. I could understand why he chose to undergo such extreme procedures. It was just that one last straw, that one last incident that almost killed Dib, that made him want to protect him (from himself, he thought) from further harm. As much as I think that what he did to Dib was awful, you can understand him, because a parent can only take so much before they're driven to thinking "it's what's best for my child."
I loved how you kept all the characters in-character, especially Zim. Although I'm slightly horrified that Zim has become the new Tallest (the universe is doomed, btw), it was a sweet way to convey just how much Dib wanted to please him, to make Zim happy. Throughout the fic, I couldn't help but compare Dib as the Queen piece and Zim as the King piece in the traditional chess game. I was so impressed with Dib - he pretty much single-handedly plotted the demise of the mighty Irken Empire. But as he once said, the "crazy ones" were actually the "revolutionaries" and your fic couldn't have conveyed this any more sincerely. Dib was the strength in the Resisty, while Zim was the key and the cornerstone - if Zim fell, so would Dib, and therefore the whole operation crumbled and was lost.
On the matter of Dib, despite his initial craziness, he was just SO SWEET. His love, his loyalty, his undying devotion and admiration - gosh, it really had me thinking that Zim really didn't deserve him. And how he was finally able to recognize which was the "fake" Zim and which was the "real" Zim - and how he realized which one he really wanted - made me go AWW. He was finally able to recognize it - becoming a little more sane, a little more stable - and by doing so, you successfully expressed that Dib's "need" for "Zim" was true, sincere and undeniably irrefutable, since it could not be quenched by a mental manifestation he really believed was real.
This was just amazing. It got better and better with every chapter passing. My only disappointment was that I don't think Zim was the one to have killed Red - seeing as he died from having his PAK being torn off him. Zim would've just outright pierced a spider-leg thing through his skull. When Dib was stabbed through the gut, I knew that in reality, he would've died almost instantaneously, or at least before he could actually get serious medical help. But luckily, this is fiction, and they're aliens and a future generation of humans, so YESSS! I was so happy!
This story was so good, I couldn't stop reading it after I finished the second chapter. I loved the originality, the plot, the suspense and the romance. A mix of everything, really, and it just made this story absolutely delicious to read. Thank you!
