| PoisonBones chapter 1 . 7/16/2014
I always wondered why Draco agreed to Voldemorts plan, because it's so obvious he isn't killer or really evil in any way. This is a very good theory.
| lightblue-Nymphadora chapter 1 . 3/31/2011
Liked this one too! Mostly because it was in Scorpius's POV, so we got to see how he was feeling during "The Big Reveal". Thanks for sharing!
| MuggleBeene chapter 1 . 3/31/2011
Very touching scene, one that must have been hard for both Scorpius and Draco. I think you've captured Scorpius' wonder at the tale, but some formatting threw me off a bit. I think you could have combined some of Draco's comments into larger paragraphs, breaking it up when Scorpius interjects or we hear Scorpius' thoughts.
Now that the critical section of the review is out of the way, I have to say that I enjoyed this little one-shot, especially the detail at the end when Draco rolls up his sleeve. Based on Scorpius' reactions during the story, it had to be hard for Draco to actually show his son the Mark.
| Rosawyn chapter 1 . 2/15/2011
This was very interesting. I guess Draco would have to tell his son sometime about his own history; he'd have learned quite a bit about it at school, and it's better for him to hear his father's side of the story first. This did seem a bit long for some reason, but I guess it was basically Draco summarizing all 7 books (or at least his part in them), so that's to be expected. Personally, I think it would have been better for Scorpius to hear the story in bits and pieces over time, but it makes sense that Draco would be uncomfortable talking about it. It does seem odd that a child could grow up in the magical world for 11 years and have never heard of Voldemort, Dumbledore, Harry Potter, or Snape. I guess his parents kept him pretty sheltered?
| Rita Arabella Black chapter 1 . 2/14/2011
I really liked this story a lot; it was very well written and tells a very good account from Draco's eyes. It reminded me of my story A Trip to Godric's Hollow, which is Harry Potter telling James about what happened to his parents. I liked your angle very much.

Nice job. :)
| shobsnet02 chapter 1 . 10/20/2010
Aww...I love it!
| Redconky chapter 1 . 9/24/2010
I like this. It's in character, and realistic because an 11-year-old can only process so much. Great job!
| ginevraweasleyrocks chapter 1 . 8/28/2010
very well written! good characterization and i can just imagine this scene in my head!
| whispered touches chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
Great story, for the most part! There were a few places where you switched tenses - "I wasn't surprised that Grandfather hadn't told him more"... "I askED" a couple of times... And a few other places.
But other than that, it was really good. I liked how Scorpius was so innocent, exactly how I imagine him, and the ending was awesome. Nice job.
| sidex chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
I like your Scorpius, and the ending was sad :C Draco is right.
| saarraahhxxx chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
This is interesting. I've always wanted to read a fic about them telling the younger generation. I don't think Scorpius would have been completely in the dark but other than that I liked it. I like seeing this 'other side' of Draco, so to say. Anyway, I really enjoyed this(:
| Perchance A Primrose chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
This is really good in general. I just have a few little nit-picks. It's kind of choppy especially at the beginning.
All in all it's good. I like that it was harde for Draco to admit this to his son. I believe that it would be hard for Draco to admit that he was wrong.
| schwans chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
This is fantastic. Your take on Scorpius is just so spot on, and I imagine that conversations with the younger generation about the war must have been incredibly awkward.
| HerTaintedQuill chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
This is very nice. I love the Malfoys.
