| P5hng-Me-A'Wy chapter 1 . 3/23/2012
Oh my! I can't believe it took me so long to find this! This is really amazing as sad as it is. I was happy to read that Axel was alive however at the same time it saddened me seeing how I had this feeling that he would leave Roxas due to age. Either way, I really did love reading this, even if I'm my crying my eyes out.
| Flarga chapter 1 . 2/4/2012

| Momma's Freaky Child chapter 1 . 8/27/2010
Yessssssssssssss, that was so freakin' amaziiiing :)
It made me really sad though, knowing that a thirteen year old child is feeling that much already. I look at my younger brother and just shake my head!
BUT! I read Drowning a while back and thought it was amazing as all the rest of your storys, and I'm glad you kinda continued it! Well done!
| Der Auspuff chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
That has to be the most depressing thing I've read in a very long time.
Amazingly written. Amazingly depressing. I...just...don't... I need to go read fluff. Oh god I do.
Your writing is beautiful and that story was...chilling, I guess you could say. Good job, and I will read the rest of your stuff...just no more depressing things tonight!
| lemonlimediddies chapter 1 . 8/22/2010

| KUROXFAI chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
This was an amazing story. I enjoyed that it followed the plot of Drowning which in its own was an awesome story.
The characters were very good. I can understand Roxas's mother, she was only trying to do the right thing. Like Roxas's dad, Axel I felt doesn't understand, that with love comes patience. If Axel had had patience then he would have said what he had to say, and then waited to here what Roxas felt.
So, Axel was given a chance to redeem himself but AGAIN he fucks it up. Instead of offering Roxas assurance together with his apologies, he succeeds in doing the very thing his death would have assured: abandoning Roxas.
The ending tied it all together nicely. In the end someone had to die, and, it ended up being Roxas.

| Naive-Symphony chapter 1 . 8/22/2010
this was fantastic. first time i've been so wrapped up in a fic in a long time, and a one-shot to boot! the first part (axel's pov) was so great, and even though it could've stood alone just fine i'm glad you added this. both are so heartbreaking. thanks for sharing your talent! :)

I wrote a review for you on "Drowning". I think I was called Metall Wing, but I changed my nick for the sake of consistency, since this is my nick in few other places as well.
I think reading "Drowning" first is important to get the extra depth to this fic, and I am reviewing it as a sequel.
You do write moments in time and feelings very well. Like its predecessor, this story stays with the theme and the ending ties it into a neat bundle. The build up heads for a dramatic ending, which we get. So, someone had to drown, but it was Roxas, after all...
When I step out of the story and examine the characters, I can't help but feel a bit frustrated though. So, Axel was given a chance to redeem himself but AGAIN he fucks it up. Instead of offering Roxas assurance together with his apologies, he succeeds in doing the very thing his death would have assured: abandoning Roxas. He should have offered some hope. He should have let Roxas speak instead of just saying what HE came to say and leaving shortly after.
Of course Axel didn't know that he was Roxas' bedrock. That was sad, especially when Roxas was swearing to never become like those lying adults who hide their feelings, when he had, as a matter of fact, already started. I don't think Axel ever knew that he was the *only* source of security for Roxas?
I do understand his mom too, though. She only wanted to protect him. It's what anyone would do, even if she did it exceptionally poorly.
Lasting love is all about patience, something that Roxas' step dad obviously doesn't know. Roxas is too young to fix all this and Axel is obviously just too dumb. O_O If they were ever to survive it all, it is clear that they would need third person intervention. It's obviously all over, but I just want to reach into the story and help them. Make Axel turn around and go back, just because he forgot to say something, or give something or.. something. It just feels like Roxas' death on top of everything else would be TOO much for just one poor person to bear. And Roxas deserves to live, too.
As far as age differences go, I have a friend who is currently dating a man ten years older than she. She has never liked guys her own age, and when (about five years ago) she dated one, all she could do was whine about how childish she thought he was. But of course, we are 30.
Age differences can work. It's all about both parties being adult, though. :)
