Wow..we find some much needed facts coming to light here. I, for one, am casting my vote here and now..don't think those coroners died of 'natural causes' even though the deaths appeared on the up and up.
But again, a car accident and suicide is not Red John's usual M.O, granted. Hummm. I'm liking the twists and turns here.
And now, we have another victim still.
Can we say, page-turner?

HHAHAHAHA..a sock in the gut! That will teach Jane to be more circumvent in his reaction to a little spitfire. But, LOVED he called her Teresa! What a treat this chapter was. Cho's deadpan question was quintessential 'cho'..jane's reply, halarious, as usual.
I could see that scene being played out in my mind. All consumate actors, their timing is impeccable.
Excellent 'read' of our intrepid crime fighters. Enjoyable, fun chapter.

not wanting things said in the office means it's bugged, right? I am hooked on the story. If RJ can get into Police Headquarters, it means he has access. How does he have access, is the question. So many possibilities there.
It seems to me, were I in jeopardy with this weird guy, I would go to the foremost expert on him..Jane, but that's just me and I'm girly, girly and wash my hair a lot.
Good exchange between Lisbon and Jane. Loved the fact she teared up. I hate macho women and Lisbon has a vulnerability I think is charming. She's tough when it counts but with an underlying femininity that is attractive even to another chick. (not in that way, though)

I'm thinking everyone is underestimating RJ. But, Jane. Not sure what development has occurred to alert the gang to the danger Lisbon is in but, I'm with Jane on this one.
Even a capable FBI agent is not going to do much to halt some serial killer with the intelligence and cunning of our old friend. Never underestimate the enemy, ladies. We shall see, however.

I'm not liking Tierney if only for the fact, her presence is boring Jane. (Ha) She seems very competent and has already ingratiated herself with the women of the group. The cancer bit was unexpected and appreciated. I like plot twists that I don't expect.
Van Pelt is an interesting character to me and I wish they would enlarge her part on the show. Cho is always charming even though he doesn't mean to be and the crush Rigsby has on our resident red-head is adoreable.
I had hoped for more interaction between Jane and Lisbon..loved the part where he tried to get a rise out of her. It usually works, after all.

That is about the only way to shut Jane up. You've picked up the subtle emotional dance Jane and Lisbon do to perfection. I am thinking she is pissed at him (what? really?) over some matter or she is examining her own emotional attachment a little too closely and is frightened by it's intensity..or there is some secret she feels guilty she is keeping from the man.
Either or any way, it is a great start to the story. The dialog is fast paced, moving the plot along effortlessly.
loved the explanation of how the relationship evolved from distrust and suspicion to a comfortable, easy alliance. Nicely done there. Endeared the characters instantly to the reader even if they were not fans of the show.
That Jane distances himself even from the woman he trusts most, is no real surprise. He is singularly fixed on RJ and avenging his family..Lisbon is an enigma he did not expect to find.

What an excellent story! So much going on; so much emotion; absolutely heart-wrenching at times. A superb piece. I believe I saw that there's a sequel. I'm off to find it :)

Brilliant story - loved it.
The plot was really interesting and obviously well thought through, and I loved the way you resolved it all.

This is was really beautiful, and interesting in light if recent episodes. In red badge, Lisbon seemed terrified of the idea that she might have killed mcteer, so this is really in character.
| information specialist chapter 8 . 2/15/2011
Somehow this chapter read like a classic...the grave the emotions, the mystery... have you read woman in white? I think you'd like it, this chapter reminded me of it.

This chapter makes the finding of Kristina on the series all the more unsatisfying. They just won't throw us a bone. I'm torn between being convinced she is involved with red John and how genuinely she seemed attracted to Jane. I guess one does not negate the other :-/
| information specialist chapter 6 . 2/15/2011
It's really interesting to read this version of how things could have played out. Not to put down the writers, but the clues that we have gotten so far seem almost random in comparison. I wonder how much they actually hve planned or if they're just making up stuff as they go along. Jane does seem to be particularly passive here. It allows Lisbon to get the spotlight.
