| Dimac99 chapter 21 . 2/14/2013
I really liked Cassandra (and Nicodemus!) and the choice of Iceland as a setting was novel and interesting. I could have gone for more detail on the culture shock both would have faced, to make Iceland more of a character too. Not to mention more Dr Smythe in his sexy scrubs, but we can't have everything we want I suppose! ;-)

Squeal! Wow. This is so good... I love Sev x OC good stories... The themes of this one... ! :)

This was an interesting story. The idea was definitely one that I hadn't read before, and I loved the local flavor you added when describing Iceland. I found myself unable to stop reading because I was really curious what the whole story with Cassandra was, and it was appropriately surprsing yet fitting what her backstory was. I'm not normally a fan of non-canon siblings of canon characters, but I think you did it well here, especially with your explanation for why she wasn't noticed much. (Although I do wonder how she ended up with red hair, when Regulus and Sirius both had black hair, but I digrees.) Also, thank you for putting her in Ravenclaw and not Gryffindor, seeing as Gryffindor is the stereotypical rebel house. I also thought Cassandra's friendship with Per was very touching.
Anyway, great job with this story.

The fact that she's unusual and from Northumberland like me made ma fall in love with her character a little. I can tell I'm going to like this

'You will never have to be alone again.'
-And neither will he.
Although he isn't getting *that* soft; students who actually want to be in a class, are working, and are not trying to a) blow other people up for kicks and giggles (I'm looking at you, Draco), b) set things on fire and steal ingredients (Hermione's turn), and c) can actually spell their names correctly (Roonil Wazlib, yes?) will make any teacher's heart lighter.
Notice that Cassandra is ready to roast her students over a spit.
And...Snape is looking at Hogwarts with more nostalgia than accuracy. He was rarely safe inside those big doors (cough Marauders, cough) and he didn't send himself to hell without Dear Old Dumbledore pushing him all the way.
But anywhere he and Cassandra are, is home.

How wonderful for Severus to be greeted as the hero he is; and even more so that he responds to it without trying to drive people away. Being with Cassandra has healed a great deal more than just the wounds he left Britain with.
Cassandra has her own memories, though, but Severus is more than happy to deal with those in his own (rather nice, I might add) way.
Very good chapter.

You had me going with the first part of this chapter; I was truly frightened that Snake-Face was back, and that Cassandra was dead.
And that was a pretty amateurish proposal; but then, it was his first time for that. Plus, she makes him happy and understands him and doesn't play stupid games with him.
Here's hoping that both have the joy they deserve.
Bet part of the wedding vows will be in Elfish, though.

But still he couldn't help but wonder if him having turned down Nurse Björk for both champagne and a New Year's kiss had something to do with his ridiculous work schedule. After all, she was the one who put them together.
-Ya think? But I'm still so glad that Cassandra decided to go with Severus without any sense that she's sacrificing everything to do so.
I look forward to them being happy together (and yay for Minerva, for having tea with both of them).

Fantastic story! Not normally that into HP fanfic but really enjoyed this! My only wish would be for a little more elaboration on Severus's life in Reykjavik and perhaps a slightly fuller description of how he spent his days at work, the thought of him actually working in a hospital in broad daylight is very interesting and it'd almost be worthy of its own story (queue mental image of Alan Rickman in scrubs...)! A storyline where he actually had to put his (newfound) anaesthetic skills to the test would have been smashing!
