|Reviews for The Right Thing|
| thewiggins chapter 1 . 9/15
A lovely little story. Gives an interesting perspective that telling Giles may have been "the right thing", but that neither decision could ever be without pain for Giles. In a way Buffy couldn't win. I don't necessarily buy that Buffy would ask Giles if he wanted to kill Angel, she was very protective of him at this point, but perhaps if this could be read as an AU where she cares about Angel a little less, and Giles a little more... Anyway great work, I'll have to check out more of the stuff you've written!

I've often wondered what would happen if Giles had known Angel was back. It's actually one of those stories I would have liked to have written, you know, if I knew how to write. This was just perfect and it was ultimately very satisfying to see Buffy do the right thing by Giles.
And seriously, this is the best line in the history of ever:
"You want me to become him, then?"

Once again your writing is mesmerizing. The shear rollercoaster of emotions that Giles must have been going through. You could almost feel his desire to turn tail and run. His courage made me applaud when he told Buffy that she should strengthen the restraints. I think it was so haunting because it was only Giles' thoughts we were hearing. You have to wonder the chaos that Buffy's mind must also be in. Anyway kudos on this.

Much better choice on Buffy's part.

I have always like this fic. I just don't think there was a truly right way for her to tell him. Either way Giles would be hurt and upset.
