Reviews for You Can Imagine the Christmas Dinners |
---|
![]() ![]() Absolutely brilliant, I loved it! Christmas sweaters and bee keeping and manipulative holidays and festive Holly and all those wonderful unexplained case or family story allusions and the tingling emotions - wonderful. Leaving John waiting for a whole day to solve a case for a Thai restaurant date - that is PERFECTLY in character for Sherlock. Beautiful. I love that John is honest and makes his own choice and actually likes following Sherlocks call into the abyss... The only thing I would change is John's last sentence. Instead of actually bluntly stating the implication loud (which seems not quite John's style, especially a in semi-public Mummy-Holmes-surveillant restaurant), I'd have him gently stroke his thumb across the back of Sherlock's hand (now that the meaning of that gesture has been thoroughly established), smirk silently, and walk out the door like you wrote him do. Wonderful story, thanks for writing and sharing! |
![]() ![]() Oh gosh now I'm starting to wonder what Irene Adler's family christmas dinner could have possibly been like... What a great plot bunny! XD |
![]() ![]() ![]() Loved it and seriously wish it was longer |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love it thanks |
![]() ![]() ![]() John is a mood, and I adore Sherlock's mother. Thank you for writing. |
![]() ![]() Oh my god, why'd this have to end. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I enjoyed this so much! It was hilarious to read about John realizing what mind games the Holmes family play with each other and his mind going "why am I even here". I loved how you wrote all the characters, and Holly was such a nice touch, too. And John and Sherlock's dynamic? Impeccably written, truly, you capture all the details and aspects of their relationship perfectly. I started reading this to pass the time but soon found myself imagining everything play out in front of my eyes, as if watching an episode, and occasionally laughing, too. What a wholesome reading experience. |
![]() ![]() Awwww this was beautifully written, capturing the enigma that is Sherlock quite well. You had me smiling throughout! Good job. |
![]() ![]() ![]() great! absolutely fantastic loved it |
![]() ![]() NOOOO WHY DID THIS HAVE TO END PLEASE CONTINUE IT I CANT THIS HAS TO BE ITS OWN SEPARATE BOOK |
![]() ![]() This is a fantastic story. I love how you've captured the subtle aspects of how the Holmes family does (and might) interact while retaining the fluffiness that is a Christmas story. It felt natural the way John and Sherlock came to discovering and navigating their feelings for each other. It was beautiful to read the extra depth into their interactions and imagine how their adventures would continue with another dimension added to their partnership. Thank you for sharing this with the world :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() cute story. although the references to Sherlock being perfect sort of made him wicked insufferable |
![]() ![]() I hate her. I don't know why but this chapter incited an intense feeling of dislike for mummy Holmes. |
![]() ![]() ![]() WOW! This was an awesome story! At first i thought it was going to be one of those short, crack fics that don't really have an interesting plot and are just written for the sake of it, but i have to say i didn't expect this:) I found it really funny at the beginning and then things got interesting but all having a light tone..Furthermore, Sherlock and Johns relationship was really sweet! Very nice job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I loved it! Every piece of it. Oh Gods, you stayed truly in character of them, i didnt like Aracelia that much but I thing I get it. Anthea, or Holly in this case was amazing. I just. I died, so beautifu having Sherlock planning a date, a very Sherlock kind of date but date nonethelessz thank you for your amazing story |
