Reviews for Anniversary
Guest chapter 1 . 11/28/2016
It seemed very appropriate that Scott and Johnny would re-visit the spot, where Teresa showed them Lancer, three years earlier. ( one can hear her say: "There it is. As far as the eye can see. The most beautiful place in the whole wide world. Lancer"). And from the dialogue between the brothers, they, too, have grown to love it. They have come home, to a new life. And fortunately, they have gained a new perspective regarding Murdoch's
Infamous line: "I love this ground more than anything God ever created".

What especially touched the heart, was the treasured "gift", that each son bestowed upon their Father.

A celebration of home. An anniversary to remember.

This is my favorite part: "It feels like we've always been here," Scott finished for him. "Sometimes I feel like everything that came before just happened to somebody else." These feelings are so true. I think you very ably captured the thoughts of two men who have grown to know one another well. And I like the reference to the beginning about Murdoch and the land. It had to be a hard statement coming from their father, one I hoped he would regret the minute it came out. Thanks!

Beautiful anniversary story. Loved both sons calling Murdoch 'Pa'.
