G.O chapter 18 . 5/3/2011 You know, I always feel as if my parents are constantly beside me, nagging at me, spitting diatribes, what they think is wisdom and good advice. Sadly, it's like 100x worse for Rachel. And some of what Trigon has said...nothing to do with current events is it? And the one paragraph about becoming " one " with everything...sounds familiar too. It was a good chapter, although I sometimes get tired of going back again and again. Apologizes, just how I feel. *Coughs* Anyway, it was a great chapter, up until the last sentence which I hate you for and hopefully will be explained next chapter. G.O(odies) P.S: Nice chapter title. FAR better than the original |
Chance O'Neal chapter 18 . 5/2/2011 Dear Mr. P0ST: Enjoy your work so far. Feel you deserve a more indepth review. Will send to you sometime via private message. I must note, you are a wrestling fan, aren't you? There are so many references to wrestling, less-obvious than others, that I couldn't help but notice. Adds flavor. Good. Have read your previous work "These Black Eyes". See a lot of past characters in this rendition-Glover, Decker, Kobayashi, the pawn shop owners (Rebecca, I think), and the not-so-subtle suggestions of Mr. Noir. Interesting that you have not introduced him just yet. Also interesting that you haven't introduced the main villians yet. However, akin to Batman Year One. Gangsters first. Super-powered villians later. I enjoy your work. See you have improved. Good perspective. Please continue on. |
spiritghostings chapter 17 . 4/30/2011 beast boy makes me giggle. |
Fallen Dragonfly chapter 17 . 4/30/2011 Twisted. ...Yes indeed. |
anon chapter 17 . 4/30/2011 That’s right he’s a detective and that’s his job and yes it does matter Well Courtney the big picture does matter, again you could provide unlimited, clean, and free energy to the world forever with that rod of yours There is something to that some of these people are sentient multi firing nukes and it’s not unreasonable to have cautionary measures in place if they go rogue or villain or fall under mind control or whatever |
Fallen Dragonfly chapter 16 . 4/29/2011 Well, fuck. They just can't get a break. |
Zephyrus-Prime chapter 16 . 4/29/2011 Garfield speaks in internet memes when dazed? He spends too much time eating soup. You need to use more sound effects. I was kind of underwhelmed by the action. It just wasn't in my face enough. MORE, I SAY. Villains who wax poetic during battles deserve to get their asses kicked. If they wanna talk, they should blog or something. Starfire is way too passionate. Girl needs to take a lesson from Robin and stuff. I want to see Garfield go Wooly Mammoth on someone. Where's mah Wildcard, son? You're being an awful tease. Drink moar Dr. Pepper and write. -Xeno AKA Zephyrus |
G.O chapter 16 . 4/29/2011 *Sixty MINUTES later* Wow. Didn't see the ending coming at all. You wanted that, of course. Reminds me of an evil Kwai Chang Caine, this guy. Least it wasn't who I was expecting it to be. Anyway, not much to say about this. But it's getting good, getting to see a villan(?) that's not in gangs, etc. Lookin foward to how this is resolved, things are finally getting intense. G.O(od Luck) |
Fallen Dragonfly chapter 15 . 4/27/2011 The wildcard has been played. ...Or has it not? And finally we get to find out what happened. Cliffhanger bastard. |
anon chapter 15 . 4/27/2011 Forgot to say they'll go left when they should go right and innocent people will die and who will be held accountable? |
anon chapter 15 . 4/27/2011 True, on the other hand keeping them out in the open instead of behind the scenes, in the shadows, I’m mean sure that’s what the masterminds do anyway, it probably keeps the thugs and psychos from reaching their true potential, Gotham was always a wretched hive of scum and villainy massive corruption and decaying infrastructure and institutions, ironically the reason Metropolis has such a high standard of living is because of Lex Luthor’s inventions and leadership, it’s not that he’s a good man, he’s not but he’s right about most things, he’s too smart not to be, he’s about the advancement of humanity by any means necessary he’ll become the villain and cross the moral event horizon to make it happen, he rebuilt Gotham with technology more efficient and effective although less beautiful artistically, in Red Son he engineered a golden age no poverty, disease, war, crime, terrorism, environmental problems, and science and art advance, a hero teaches the people to take care of themselves if they shared their advanced technology and skills it would do far more good than beating up thugs and psychos and many of the villains seem unaware that if they used their minds and/or other talents for legitimate business purposes would be far more profitable than any crime spree If it wasn’t for the White Martians ancient experiments we’d all be like the Kryptonians or Daxamites Has a point it’s easy to have ideals when you’re rich not so much when you’re poor and struggle to feed your family Free trade and enterprise is the only thing that has ever led to long lasting meaningful peace, the best and brightest will elevate themselves above the common man as long as they don’t kill anyone or otherwise actively oppress they should be allowed to earn as much as they can there will always be some exploitation it’s nature it’s best for our species it improves the standard of living for the human race as a whole |
Zephyrus-Prime chapter 15 . 4/27/2011 Robin is the same prideful bird as always. Assassin isn't going home with a paycheck. Wildcard writes quickly and legibly on the small surface of a playing card? MY BELIEF CANNOT BE SUSPENDED. Dragonflare is the best damn (fictional) drug ever. Pay your ellipses more, since you make them work so damn hard for so little. - Xeno AKA Zephyrus |
G.O chapter 15 . 4/27/2011 Great conclusion to the arc. Dragonflare, eh? I guess a circle never really breaks... that could only mean... Anyway, I like the Robin backstory as well, could've sworn there was more to it but this isn't so bad. I always love when you bring up Gotham City, perhaps my favourite DC-based city. Next to Bludhaven. The story with his mother is tragic too, although maybe it wasn't explained enough? I dunno. Glad to see that Kobasyashi-san is alive and well. Starfire can be so clumsy. Anyway, looking forward to the Standalone (Or just a whole new arc straight away) -G.O P.S: 1/4 million words. Whooo |
Fallen Dragonfly chapter 14 . 4/25/2011 Angel spears... Paladin? Now there's something that won't be answered for ages. Damn you... want to know... Enjoyed this chapter thoroughly. Raven is always interesting to write about, and even better to read about. Just in her nature I guess... and you write that well. |
G.O chapter 14 . 4/25/2011 Wow, that was a rather HEKTIK chapter (Rimshot) It's amazing how long it takes to age in Raven's world. Verry long indeed. One more Suite to go so we know what happens to Mr Kobayashi GODDAMNIT Another Rali appearence whooo. Orange Raven for Velma cozplay plz I forgot what else I wanted to say so I'll stop here. Forever mind-raped -That Guy |
