Reviews for The Road Less Traveled |

![]() ![]() Beautiful! I couldn't help but laugh when Mycroft said " I'm working on it" last chapter, but here we go... Great choice to have him narrate, we would have drowned in the sugar otherwise - adorable! And very thoughtful of you to think of dear Mary. Who wouldn't love Greg Lestrage? (Molly's reaction is of course very understandable too...) |
![]() ![]() Oh this is lovely, he is actually destroying the jumper! Third night, third book of yours. I belive so far the blinded story was my favourite. Dominant John was clearly wonderfully hot, but submissive Sherlock seemed a little off character to me. Beautiful case with the homeless kids, by the way, I love that they have become such an important extension to both John's and Sherlock's limited social cycle. Anyways, this is the third of your novels I'm reading because I was initially hesitant about the first person narrative. However, you made a good call with that for narrating Sherlock's rather - well, deceptive is not quite the right word - calculated seduction. And it's interesting to read about a John who's not (!) initially attracted to Sherlock. I'm very much looking forward to reading on! |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hello Verity. I have recently discovered your stories and been ravenously devouring them one after another! I'm a closet romantic (I live in a a house full of males so not much chance to slip in a chick flick!), and I have been in love with JohnAndSherlock for a long time. Your stories are so gripping, suspenseful, romantic, amusing and entertaining. And ridiculously hot. I've read "a bit" of slashy stuff between our two favourite boys, but yours is different. It happens in the context of love and affection, angst and joy, and this makes it so much more potent and real! It actually makes me feel terrible longing to be loved like that, and I'm married! I also wanted to tell you that your poem choice at the end was brilliant! It's actually my very favourite poem because it so articulately and longingly describes exactly how I feel about many of the choices I've made in my life. I often think back to those "other paths" and wonder what my life would be now if I'd taken them instead. It makes me very wistful, and describes so beautifully the choice that John and Sherlock made. It could be read from either one''s point of view, although I first pictured John as the traveller, and Sherlock as the "less travelled" road (inexperienced with love and relationships). Genius! Thank you for your wonderful stories, and for all the pictures you havepainted in my head! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love this chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() ohhhh i was laughing and now i can see that i will most likely cry soon... |
![]() ![]() I can truly agree to what people have written before me: such a well constructed, sweet, endearing, moving and beautiful story I have seldom red before. You could easily write a book and sell it. The time and thought you put into this is...really what a marvelous story you created! Captured me like all the others before. Thank you very much for the entertainment! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I would just like to say thank you for writing this fic. It is the best thing I’ve read in a long time and truly moved me (I may have cried. A lot.) Thank you for sharing this with the world and I look forward to reading the epilogue. 3 |
