|Reviews for Love Remains the Same|
| TheQueenofBooks1000 chapter 2 . 9/29/2014
I've been reading your stories a lot lately, and I gotta say this is one of my favorites. Not just of your stories, but the entire site.
No matter how funny Helga's obsession with Arnold can be, it's actually kind of sad how her life depends on one person. Especially since nobody else gave her credit and recognized her for the brilliant kid she really is (other than Phoebe, of course). I love how she grew up and matured a LOT, still being the same ol' Helga we know and love, only better adjusted.
I also like how Arnold finally sorted out his feelings for her. Like Roger from Rent says, "Why does distance make us wise?" And really, it's touching how he finally realizes that he loved her.
The gang turned out pretty nicely, and I like how Helga earned their friendship back. Yep, puberty is horrible, it's a relief when it's finally over.
The story overall was great. Well-written, detailed, and in-character, and a lot of cute fluffy moments. Great work! :)

Loved this! You're right, they both needed some time separated from each other to grow up a bit and discover what they truly needed from the relationship :D
| littlelionalex chapter 2 . 1/24/2012
This. Is. AMAZING!
I've always disliked Helga's complete dependency on Arnold and I think you did a wonderful job on the whole thing, including Arnold's side too.
I absolutely love this fic.
I wish for more. 3
| HAFanForever chapter 2 . 1/21/2011
Yay, a happy reunion!
Kind of reminds me of Cass's fic "The Patakis: Last Minutes." And I agree with what you say at the end about the pairing. See, I really do think a break-up would be good for Arnold and Helga because, even though they are mature for their ages, they are still kids and need to grow up and mature more, spend time apart, and realize there are other people out in the world and should try to be with someone else. They were just kids when they first got together and were still kids when they split. Now as teenagers, they have grown up and matured ever further and probably have tried to see other people. But Arnold and Helga are each one in a million and probably think that there is no one else like them in the world if they compared each other to other people. Even if they broke up, they would never stop loving each other. In the end, they would come to terms with the fact that they don't want or need anyone but each other. And that's what else a break up can do for them. It will help them to further realize that they are truly made for each other, then they would never break up again.
Yet another great story, pal!

I love this one, too, buddy. I like how you describe the details about what would/could have happened between Helga and her family in the spin-off, what she'd be like as she goes through puberty, as well what happens to the other kids as they grow up.
I figured this is how you would end the chapter: Arnold returns...
| Meapness chapter 2 . 9/19/2010
I liked it. Good story.

Again, you do quite a good, mature portray of this couple.
Keep the good writing.
| Dreamless-Mermaid chapter 2 . 9/9/2010
Oh wow this was SO GOOD. Your words and descriptions were amazing and I really agree with you about having them mature before they could really realize what they want. Because, I mean, they were only like, what? 11 or 12 when you had Arnold move away? Possibly 13? It just seems like they would be so young to really and fully understand how their relationship would work. But now that they've spent so much time away from each other, lived life, seen the world, they know for sure that they want each other. You know? And you showed that through this story. Absolutely one of my favorites. I have a feeling it's ended but would you possibly be adding more? If not, it's okay, you ended it at a good point. Helga would TOTALLY drag him to a closet ;) So congrats on an amazingly, wonderfully written fic _
| Chris chapter 1 . 9/9/2010
thank you, I don't know what else to say...this is very beautiful...I love hey arnold like you have no idea, that show was art, it was a part of my childhood, a part of ME, and not having the jungle movie being made really hurt, but this gives me closure...this is really great because now i'm 20 years old, and it's like seeing how your friends have grown as well in this awesome fanfiction, you would make Craig Bartlett proud...thank you for this, I appreciate it...so much
| NicNack4U chapter 2 . 9/9/2010
Hey, SuprSingr! Like I said in the previous chapter, this is a REALLY
nice story and I'd hate to see it end so suddenly, but all good things must come to an end! Like you, I know with time, Arnold and Helga would've matured greatly, but still have a bit of their younger
selves still in them. And, had dear ol' Craig continued with the show, this is EXACTLY how they'd break-up...and get back together.
Anyway...nice fic & I REALLY enjoyed it! _
| Jadeykins chapter 2 . 9/9/2010
Hey! I'm English and we don't have tea and crumpets. That get's annoying after a while!
Anyway, I really loved it! You did an awesome job on handing the feelings! I'm glad to see you back. :D
| NintendoGal55 chapter 2 . 9/9/2010
Singr, I first want to say that I completely agree with all of your points you made at the end. SO TRUE! x3 Their childhood romance was them exploring the waters, getting to know what the other would be like...and even facing mistakes that they would learn from in the future. Then break up and being away from one another for a while...so sad, I know, but, overall it helps them a lot because it makes them realize a lot of things. I can see Helga maturing and growing up, outgrowing the unhealthy aspects (hey, she's just a kid, I cut her some slack) of her love, and embracing the greater aspects of being in love. Same for our buddy Arnold...he does need the time to realize what he NEEDS in a girl, not just what he wants. And it's true, going from "ever so" sweet nice girls all around to a walking oxymoron is indeed quite a transition, but it's worth it in the end.
Like I say for them, they needed this to patch things up with themselves before they do so together.
And hey, as Craig himself said, they're meant for each other, and will end up together in the long run. :D After all of their growing up and realizing everything they needed to and embracing it all, it's no wonder they come out of it as not only stronger people, but stronger lovers.
It's all in part of why I love them together so much. And you, my awesome Snuggle Bunny and partner in crime, have indefinitely captured that right here, and explained all that was needed to be known. You are DEAD ON. :D They work for their happy ending, and that's what makes it better. :D
Arnold and Helga forever! They are indefinitely one of the most awesome pairings I've ever seen in a long time.
All right, now on to my review.
SQUEE! I was SO happy when Helga not only admitted she loved him, but also KISSED him. YES! :D That was what I was praying for to happen. And my prayer was answered! And I loved the description of how his feelings were throughout his travels with his parents, holding on to Helga's locket, his love for her intensifying...oh yeah. X3 It was great!
And I still just love how you make him admire her appearance when they're older. XD I love a lovesick Arnold... :D
Their kissing was so delicious. SQUEE! SQUEE! OwO And yes, I actually did think all they did was make out in the janitor's closet. XD I figure them to want to pace themselves, take it slow, and just get back into a relationship in general before they take a big step like making love. So yes, that's how I knew that they were just making out in the closet. AND THAT IS STILL JUST AS AWESOME! :D
Love remains the same. True words, my friend. True words.
I loved this fic, what an awesome ending. :D You have made my night! ...Day. ...Morning. Whatever! X3 Point is, I really loved it. It was great! Both chapters just summed up a perfect situation for when they're grown up, and Arnold comes back to Hillwood, and they soon get back together. X3 Loved it! :D
| Alwaysanonymous2 chapter 2 . 9/9/2010
OH MY GOD THAT WAS AMAZIN! I loved it!
