It's a nice idea! Your story has promise.
As for the French accent, though: The trick to dialect writing is that you must be very familiar with the dialect, and the way it "mispronounces" English. If you aren't, the speaker can seem less like a foreigner, and more like a mentally challenged person with a speech impediment.
French people do not drop the Y. (Both "'Ou" and "'Oo" are incorrect for "You.") They are perfectly able to say You, Yes, year, etc. Few French words begin with Y, but they're just as normally-pronounced: Yacht, Yaourt, Yeux.
The French routinely drop the letter H, as it doesn't appear in their language. Thus, "'Ogwarts," rather than "Hoggy-warts."
Additionally, the two "TH" phonemes are not part of French, and so are substituted: the voiced TH found in This, That, There, oTher is usually replaced with a Z: Zis, Zat, Zere, Ozzer. The unvoiced TH found in Thin, Think, Through and baTh are usually replaced with an S: Sin, Sink, Srough, baSS.
French also lacks the short-I (as does Spanish). So EE substitutes for I: "Eet will be alright, 'Arry, mon amour" should be "Eet Weel".
BTW, there is still no word "alright" in English. It's "all right." and "Where all going to be apart" should be "We're all going". We're is the contraction for We are; Where means In what place.
"He gazed at it said" probably should be "gazed at it sadly."
"putting the bird in a shoe box with blackest" you probably meant, with blankets.
