I was disappointed with the premise of an arranged marriage with a fifteen year old and the cheating angle but enjoyed the mystery behind James Windermere’s sick obsession with Bella.

James’ capture and his subsequent trial were very well done. Hope his drug charges bring a longer sentence to keep him away for a while.

I’m sorry but Tanya deserved some jail time too for that theft. She also wouldn’t have been allowed in my hospital room after what she did. Forgive but never forget that crap.

So now Tanya should be prosecuted for BOTH embezzlement AND aiding and abetting Felony Federal kidknapping charges. That’s just the law. (An individual does not need to be present at the scene of the crime, they simply must have knowingly contributed to the crime’s commission in some significant way - From GOOGLE) I hope they FRY her! And I think I figured out James’ sicko issues. He is more about a young girl who is a VIRGIN, than just a young girl. Bella was older, but he still thought she was an untouched virgin.

Wow, that was intense. And way to go Bella! That skank got only SOME of what she deserves. I hope she rots in prison and Alec really is just using her for debt relief.

OK so I mistook the Rec Room for the Basement, but you get the idea. And HA, he DID at least burn the couch! I also forgot to mention how great it seems that even though he did cheat, it was not even affectionate or passionate at all. The kiss was unwelcomed, mistletoe was just a poor excuse on her part, and he was wasted when they were on the couch. Most likely he was barely aware didn’t seem into it at all. As far as the blow in the bathroom- really bad judgement and seriously bad will power. Even if he was thinking about Bella while it was happening. He wasn’t drunk, he was horny - he should have sent her away - the idiot. Now Bella has a tiny bit of experience and can experiment with Edward some more. They can gradually work up to consummating their marriage. I’m worried about James and Marcus though. I think bad things will happen. They are definately up to something nefarious.

Well it seems like he didn’t even enjoy it so good. He didn’t deserve to. It should be easier for Bella to at least know that and know it only happened the two times. Not that it matters. Infidelity is infidelity no matter how you look at it. But it should be easier to know exactly what happened. Now maybe she can start to move on, after she burners the couch and redecorates the rec room and bathroom! Maybe they should just move out of the family estate altogether. And for the record, he’s a dimwit sometimes.

SOOOOO glad Tanya got told where to go by BOTH Edward AND Carlisle! She needs a wake-up call. She also needs to stay away from Edward. I wouldn’t be surprised if she tries to seduce Carlisle too! Sounds like something she’d try.

Good job Edward, putting Tanya in her place. He does need to set her straight though. Although I’m not sure if he knows exactly what Tanya insinuated while Bella was listening, he needs to make sure Tanya KNOWS that there will NEVER be a “them”. She should know that she doesn’t have a chance in hell to be with him again. I just know she’ll try something again, and probably while the Cullens are at their house. I just really hope she continues to get put in her place.

I just finished rereading this story again. It is still a very good story. I have read it multiple times over the years.

I’m really confused. Is there a reason why an adult was married to a 15 year old and no one seems to have a problem with it. Does this get addressed at some point during the story? I don’t mind age gaps but that is really young and there doesn’t seem to be any reason for it.

I am really surprised by the number of comments generated by this story. It’s mot a bad story, but i am highly disturb that throughout the story the only character who finds marrying and having sex with a minor abnormal and disturbing is edward. This situation is described as close to normal in the story. I am speechless that no one is chocked
