god of stuff chapter 4 . 11/3/2010 That cape-ish thing is called skirting if I am not mistaken. On a side note, for archer you could always use archerko from the sword dancer doujin. PM me if you want details. As far as the time travel aspect I think you may have confused it a bit. It should be noted that going so far into the past could simply negate his future all together. The way this has to work is the same to the way archer was summoned into a world where he didn't actually exist. It's the same principal but Naruto can go back to where he came from. Nothing that he does here should effect his own world. |
god of stuff chapter 2 . 11/3/2010 As far as I understand it Mana is broken down into two parts depending on where you get it from. Od is the mana you take from the world around you(think sage chakra without the physical component) and prana is the stuff you produce just by existing and supports you life. If you steal prana from another person it becomes od. You may want to look it up on Beast's Lair. |
LunarCatNinja chapter 6 . 10/30/2010 ... Interesting chapter, what is it for though? ~_ W |
LunarCatNinja chapter 5 . 10/23/2010 Interesting, I wonder where you'll go next with this. W |
Logan- Murder of Crows chapter 5 . 10/22/2010 ...There are some problems here. The plot is moving far too fast. There isn't much character development. Naruto is starting to look dangerously like a Gary Stu. He's already received what I can perceive as a powerful blessing-from a goddess, no less-and he's already well-versed in martial and magical arts, including thaumaturgical theories that neither Rin nor Shirou (both versions) knew; he's already a rather potent warrior-magus, more competent than the canon versions of Shirou and Rin, yet younger than either of them at that time. Everything seems to go pretty much perfectly for him, as he hasn't met a serious snag yet, or even a major character (because that guard is likely more of a plot device than a character) that doesn't seem to instantly get along with him and agree to everything he wants. Even the -king- was instantly sympathetic to his cause and treated him, a stranger, with deference over his own court soldiers. The events are contrived: they feel forced and unrealistic, as I mentioned before, effectively ideal. The event with the "hellhound" I do not count as straying from ideal, as that did not produce any notable trauma or hardship, and was dispatched as soon as it was introduced, much like the "Wrisen/Arenmat". Watch out. I think your story may be heading into some dangerous territory. If you don't address these issues now, they're been irreversible. I'm still rooting for you. |
Logan- Murder of Crows chapter 4 . 10/22/2010 You did much better this chapter. But what the hell? Where did "Wrisen" and "Arenmat" come from? The first sounds Celtic, while the second sounds Iranian or possibly Aramaic... While I find that such artistic and creative ideas are a positive turn... well, it was a little confusing. You kind of just inserted them suddenly as if they were already accepted canon ideas, or at least something that existed before. But searches for "wrisen" or "arenmat" come up with nothing. But they seem to be accepted in this story as something that is known across times and cultures, which is somewhat hard to believe. ...Also, you gave Naruto Trace projection. That's a bad thing. It's unique to Shirou, and confirmed to be impossible to reproduce. I know, you're going to claim that he inherited the "Unlimited Blade Works" from Shirou in the Crest, right? Nope. I don't think that works. First of all, if he accepted a Crest from Shirou, he couldn't also have the Tohsaka Crest, as you can only have one. The Tohsaka Crest has considerable history, so Reality Marble or no he would be getting that one. In the event that he did inherit the (non-existent) Crest from Shirou... Well, even if he possesses Unlimited Blade Works, I'm not sure he can use it. It's not his "common sense", his worldview, so he can't understand it himself. And we remember what happened when Shirou tried accessing Archer's Reality Marble for records of weapons in Heaven's Feel, don't we? I have every reason to believe that a similar scenario could happen if Shirou tried to pass on his Reality Marble to his child, it'd end up killing them the moment they tried to activate it via invasion by swords. Also, Shirou seems to be using expensive empowered gemstones so casually without regard for how expensive and hard to obtain they are... However, this chapter was much better than the last two, despite the continuity problems you have. If you fix those problems, and perhaps nerf Naruto a little to give him a little more challenge, this could be a very good story. |
Logan- Murder of Crows chapter 3 . 10/21/2010 Well, my last review might have seemed a little harsh, I realize. I'm only expressing the feeling that you haven't actually played "Fate/stay night" all the way through. To "someone that cares": I don't really agree with "Anonymous"... not fully, anyway, although most shounen series don't mesh well with the more serious Type-Moon works without tweaking, which is... well, "cheating"... "Fate/Black Reflection" is an excellent example of a Type-Moon and shounen manga crossover that actually works, which means it's more than possible to accomplish. It's just... not the right path for "everyone". ...You know what I mean. I'm sure you've all seen plenty of god-awful Naruto fanfictions seemingly written while under the influence of some sort of mind-numbing drug. We've all seen many fanfictions that are so poorly executed, and Type-Moon's works are not easy to write about, provided you are trying to capture the same sort of themes. Trust me, I'm quite familiar with the difficulties myself, as I am currently working on my own Fate project (although it will be released by the account "Fate Retold" instead of this one). Also, I can't help but find your refutal of the point "Anonymous" made about shounen characters being blithely unconcerned with moderation somewhat lacking. I actually do agree with him here. The characters, especially the main character(s), climb a "power ladder", where the "rungs" are the next level of opposing power. Every action shounen I've ever read has been like this. Naruto is no exception. Protagonist continually progresses up the ladder, growing just powerful enough to pull himself up one rung every time. I'm not saying this is necessarily a bad thing. It's a trope (no, not "TVtropes", although they are indeed "tropes", recurring literary themes) that is effectively integral to action shounen. I would be very surprised to read an action shounen that did -not- follow this plan. While Fate/stay night certainly follows the idea of "progression", it does not have a "power ladder". It's more like a "power wall" that you can't hope to scale. Shirou's enemies are hopelessly out of his reach. He can jump up high and, for an instant, be level with the top of the wall, but when that instant passes he falls back down again. It's this way in all the routes; even in Heaven's Feel when he is given the Artificial Phantasm, the manifested arm of the future Counter Guardian EMIYA SHIROU, he cannot overtake his enemies. He is able to match them, but at a horrific cost. He managed to just barely grab onto the sharp ledge of the wall, but his hands are slipping rapidly and the ground has fallen away, exposing the void that is his imminent death. This is the difference between the two that I believe "Anonymous" might have been trying to get at. Merely pasting how overpowered Ea is doesn't really prove a thing here. Gilgamesh is a "final boss", so -of course- he's overpowered. ...I think I'll wrap up this rambling rant. Thank you for your time. I do not mean to offend, so I apologize in advance for any toes I may have stepped on. |
Logan- Murder of Crows chapter 2 . 10/21/2010 ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...You've never played Fate/stay night, have you? It's very obvious to someone who actually did play the game. ...And if you did somehow manage to play it, you didn't pay any attention to it. Which is odd, because you can't complete it without actually paying attention to it... |
UMMX chapter 3 . 10/19/2010 Werid chapter, but I think your wrong with Archer and Berserker. Lancer is just weird, you could have use Lancers first master she was an girl. |
UMMX chapter 2 . 10/19/2010 Great chapter, This story will be good idea Also Will any female do for lancer? I have few Idea's for girl one. |
Meteor Ardbert chapter 5 . 10/18/2010 Nero Claudius as Lancer. As far as I know, she doesn't have a Prana Blast like Arturia's Excalibur does. I do like to see the interactions between her and Arturia. They can easily be mistaken for twins despite their history, and they can also be mistaken for Joan of Arc, which a lot of enemies will be mistaking. Everyone still believes King Arthur and Nero were both male so they wouldn't expect them to be beautiful lolis lol. And to surprise enemies, they can use alternate outfits and "switch personalities" to throw them off guard. Though you might want to explain how Avenger is someone else other than Angra Manyu. As far as I know, only Heaven's Feel route dealt with the Greater Grail, since Fate and UBW only dealt with the Lesser Grail. Since Avenger was summoned since the third War. HA followed HF's canon. I'll try to come up with something to help. I just got to ask around. For Noble Phantasms: List_of_magical_weapons#In_folklore List_of_mythological_objects#Weapons I'm pretty sure this should help you. |
